It is at only 20 minutes from Ostuni or Brindisi airport . Set among over three acres of ancient olives groves just under a mile from the sea, this villa for rent in Puglia makes a striking architectural statement among the coastal landscape. Built in 2010 and recently published in AD Interiors, the owners have preserved and incorporated an existing 17th century Trullo into the design, complementing the modern geometric forms and the wild landscape.
Designed and built by an artist and interior designer couple in collaboration with a local architect, the house tells the story of their lives and many passions for art, travel and design.
The interiors are spacious but intimate with both saturated and neutral earth tones and a fluid indoor outdoor flow. Expansive and airy with windows facing outwards, the living areas make the best use of the natural light and views.
The kitchen and dining areas are on the bottom floor with two double bedrooms on the upper floor of the main house, a third near the pool, the fourth in the dependence, and a single in the trullo with room for up to eleven guests.
Furnished and decorated with one-of-a-kind pieces from around the world and traditional furniture and accessories from Puglia, the house is an inspired synthesis of contemporary and rustic design.
The land surrounding it was kept wild and natural with native landscaping among the olive and almond groves that frame the pool and outdoor living areas.
Optional private chef, spa and daily housekeeping services available. Wifi throughout, TV with DVD player and video library, stereo, laundry facilities, climate control, security system, parking.
