How to get there:: Fly to Bourgas. Bulgaria AIr is the cheapest with a reasonable time of day departure from Gatwick. Thompson,Excell and Wizz air budget airline arrive in the early hours of the morning. There is not much difference with the cost for these flights. Bourgas airport is closed from October to April at present. You can also fly into Varna Airport which gives you a 90 minute drive to Ravda. We have flown into Varna airport and the drive to Ravda is an easy route.
Directions from Airport & Car HIre:: At the airport you can hire cars from Hertz and Avis. These can also be prebooked at home. Driving to the apartment from the airport with a hire car you will need to exit the airport where you will arrive at a roundabout take 1st exit left and head north onto the E87 travel north continue through Pomorie then through Atheloy, a few kilometers after Atheloy look out on the right for a turning into Ravda take this and continue on this road until you reach the centre of Ravda and come to a T Junction turn left here then take the first fork right Riviera apartments is two blocks on the right you will see a big Fort Noks sign at the entrance.
We stayed in this apartment in July-August 2011. It was our seventh summer in Bulgaria. We spent previous summers in other places of Bulgaria – Varna, Golden Sands, St.Vlas, Nessebar. We stayed in a hotel or rented an apartment. To my mind this apartment at Ravda village was the best. It is the ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy the sea, summer and tranquility. The apartment is full of light, it is very spacious and very comfortably set. The view is wonderful as the building is situated in about 100 m from the sea. The beaches are long and not overcrowded. The territory of the complex where the apartment is situated is closed, if you are coming with children you can with no worry let them play at the children playground near the building. Ravda is a charming still authentic Bulgarian town which is nice to walk through on the evenings. If you are cooking at home the food stores are in 10 min. walk from the apartment. In the evenings you can take a bus or taxi and visit charming Nessebar. For a longer trip I can recommend Burgas with a marvelous park which is so nice to walk through on a hot summer evening.
This property is in the quiet & pretty traditional Bulgarian village of Ravda on the coast of the black sea holiday destination. Ravda village has very good bars and restaurants which are busy but not to lively. The numerous cafes, bars and restaurants will cover everyones needs. This is an ideal spot for families and couples who are wanting a quieter location. Fifteen minutes drive away is Sunny Beach which will give you the night life of bars clubs and casinos. Ten minutes walk will take you into Old Nessebar fishing village with cobbled streets many bars, restaurants and shops. Nessebar has ancient historical ruins to see. Ravda is quieter than Sunny beach but prefered by many. Ravda has well maintained and secluded beaches.
