You will find a private restful retreat three miles from downtown Staunton, Virginia. The apartment has a queen bed and you can add the twin bed for an additional $15 per night, bathroom, living and dining room, kitchen & deck off the bedroom. Take in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding countryside from the deck. The furnishings are comfortable and colorful walls are hung with Sharon's botanical art and oil paintings on canvas.
My husband and I planned a special getaway for his birthday. This is our first visit to Virginia. The beauty of Staunton and area is special. We loved Sharon and Alan's cabin. It is in pristine condition. New clean and homey. We eat our meals in and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable. The sunrise from the balcony is so pretty and energizing!! Be sure to see a performance at the Shakespeare theatre. You can't go wrong staying here.
We stayed one night in this great space. We met Sharon upon our arrival and she gave us a tour of the rental and a great restaurant recommendation for the Mill St. Café. The restaurant was just a few miles away in the town of Staunton.
The rental living space was beautiful and the woodwork craftsmanship with tile accents were exceptional. The living space had a great presence that was very calming and peaceful. The view from the bedroom deck of the distant mountains was spectacular.
On all accounts you can't go wrong with the rental.
We absolutely loved not only the accommodations but Sharon's warm hospitality. This was the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful views of the valley from the back deck and feel like we were in the country. But we also enjoyed its close proximity to historic downtown Staunton -- very easy to get back and forth -- the best of both worlds!
Thanks so much to the attention to detail and hospitality of Sharon my daughter and I had a delightful, quiet, and very comfortable weekend away at the Artist's Aerie Getaway. The pictures do not do the place justice-- the place is immaculate and so nicely decorated and Sharon's art very tastefully graces the walls. A roomy yet cozy place with beautiful mountain views and only a few minutes from historic downtown Staunton; it was the perfect place to spend a weekend. I look forward to staying here again!
We enjoyed our stay at Artist's Aerie Getaway and get away we did. When we booked it though, we thought we were booking a B & B. So if the breakfast part is not one of your essentials, this is the place. Loved seeing the deer gathered at the foot of the driveway in the early evening and the Blue Ridge Mountains. I gave it 4 stars because I was disappointed that there was no breakfast (none was promised, I assumed). It really is a 5-star experience.
This is our 2nd time staying here, and we look forward to our next time! We use it as an o'nite stay while travelling to & fro to work from FL & NJ and it's 100 times better than a hotel!! It's very CLEAN, very QUIET, very RESTFUL. We appreciate all the hospitality shown us by the owners, and it would be a great place to stay to enjoy all that the area has to offer. It's an easy drive off of I-81 & there's a great Sheetz gas station (great for fast gas & b'fast) and a Starbucks you can go to before getting back on interstate.
We do not allow smoking or pets to honor those guests with allergies. Check out time is 11:00 am. The kitchen is furnished with dishes, silverware and pots and pans. There is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, oven/stove and dishwasher. If the additional twin bed is requested add $15 even if only two people are staying.
