Cabins Within 5 Miles Of The New River Gorge

Location, location, location! My cabin is within 6 miles of the New River Gorge Bridge in a secluded wooded area. The cabin has two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a hot tub.

The cabins are 7 miles form Adventures on the Gorge (AOTG). AOTG has multiple adventure activities, 3 restaurants/bars, pool, playground and much more. I am the founder and former CEO of AOTG and I would be glad to help you plan your trip or answer any questions bout the resort or the area in general.

When you visit Fayetteville, you’ll find a small town with a lot going on. It’s a great place to visit on vacation- friendly folks, small town atmosphere, and world class thrills, right next door to the New River Gorge National River. Bring a taste for excitement and a desire to relax. We’ll do the rest.

Great setting. Very quiet and pretty cabin.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin met all our expectations. Our contact was available with answers to any questions we had, and the cabin was clean, decorated nicely, and very suitable for our needs. We did think the cabin was WIFI accessible, but we could not get on IPADS while there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. We would suggest a booklet explaining where to find things, contact info. for nearby attractions, restaurants & churches, etc. (Examples: where additional towels and washcloths are kept; WIFI codes (if available; and that the breaker for the hot tub must be switched on after a storm, etc). It is pretty common for rental cabins to have this information available in the cabin. Thanks for a great time and comfortable stay.

Perfect for a family!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect for a family that wants to spread out but still be close to Adventures on the Gorge. Having a sink in each bedroom was a definite plus. We loved playing games at the large kitchen table and hanging out on the deck after a full day on the river! We will definitely be back!

Just OK

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was fine and reasonably clean although we did have an ant problem. The hot tub was located inside a shed on the back deck so we didn't use it since we had a beautiful weekend. The cabin could use a few hooks to hang things on in the bathroom and bedrooms. The dishes, glassware and utensils were adequate and it had a very nice grill. I was disappointed to see that three weeks after I booked and paid, the price had been lowered about $30 per night. If the rates are seasonal, then it would have been nice to know that and I would have waited to book.

We did enjoy the New River and especially Babcock State Park. The cabin was a nice base from which to explore the area.

2 Peaceful Nights

  • 5 of 5

We've been talking about visiting West Virginia for a long time and we finally had a chance to do it. Paul's cabin was perfectly suited for our needs. It was peaceful, clean and well-appointed. The jacuzzi was a nice bonus. We had everything we needed to cook our meals and feel at home. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the central air. We would recommend this cabin to anybody who is looking to explore this beautiful area.

While in the area, we visited the New River Gorge Bridge, which was impressive, but the best thing we did was take a ride to Thurmond, a historic railroad depot and genuine "ghost town". Thurmond itself was very interesting, but we especially enjoyed the winding road along the New River to get to the little town. Lot's of natural surprises along the way.
