Thank you thank you Meg. We thoroughly enjoyed your home. There were 12 of us and we were more than comfortable! You made us feel so at home. The children loved the hot tub and movie nights and the adults enjoyed being so close to everything. Meg was so special. We had a minor issue with our BBQ and she was over in a heartbeat apologising and quick to fix our problem. You honestly couldn't find a better host or home. Don't hesitate to ask Meg for anything she never says no. We loved our stay and we won't need to look for anywhere else when we return.
We rented this property to accomodate a party of eight adults who were in LA for an 80th birthday celebration. We stayed in the house for five days together.
The house was clean and well-maintained with just the right amount of furniture, appliances and entertainment devices to preserve the natural stateliness/roominess and beauty of this charming 1920's property. It was a mere 15 min walk to Santa Monica Blvd in one direction and five minutes to Melrose in the other direction. Plenty of car parking on the house driveway.
The Owner lives nearby and was wonderful. We needed some more towels and he was over in 15 min to help us immediately. A day or so later, an overnight wind gust had knocked over the large umbrella over the hottub. We called him to let him know and he was over in 15 min again, tools in hand to fix the problem and visit with us. A super nice person.
The backyard/outdoor space was relaxing, private and clean. A great enviroment for everyone to gather together in the morning for a coffee.
Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great experience.
We rented the property to have a large enough space for my entire family to stay in for my son's wedding. We also used the house and garden for the wedding reception and it easily accommodated 80 guests for a sit down dinner and dancing under the stars in the beautiful back garden. Mr & Mrs Priest, the owners were very generous to allow that and were very helpful throughout the entire process.
Meg's house was beautiful, clean and well organized. It was really nice that she supplied us with enough towels and even had nice make-up wipes for all of the ladies. Hot tub was great, and the location was superb for us!
This house definitely exceeded our expectations. Sure, it looks nice from the pictures, but it truly is a beautiful and spacious home. It has a great eat-in kitchen for preparing and eating meals as a family, which was important to us during our stay so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. We also had fun using the outdoor space and the hot tub. All the bedrooms were comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. There was a also a pack n play and some toys and games for the little ones. It is close proximity to everything we wanted to do while we were in LA. It's walking distance to Melrose Ave shops and restaurants and the Grove shopping center and farmer's market. It is also a short drive to Griffith Observatory (Hollywood Sign), Runyon Canyon and The Walk of Stars. It's also only a 15-20 minute drive to Santa Monica and Downtown LA. The owner, Meg and her husband were very helpful and gracious. They stayed out of our way, but made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay great. Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful home. We had an amazing and memorable vacation!
