Now for the positive stuff.
The cottage was built in the early 1950's and has been well maintained since.
Over the years it has developed a warmth and charm all its own. Walking down to the creek takes the noise of the world completely away and you only hear nature calling.
Our unique setting on the banks of the 18 Mile Creek offer 3/4 of an acre of privacy and a secure getaway from the congestion of modern life. Few local cottages offer this kind of privacy and expanse.
We have over 300’ of creek bank and a prime and unique southern view of the beautiful wetland for almost a mile, with no houses to interrupt the natural water and land scape.
We have an outdoor firepit, two patios and plenty of places to pitch a family tent, let your kids blow off steam, or your dog to run free.
We offer free off-street, security monitored, parking for guest vehicles, small trailers and fishing boats. The alignment of Park Lane street and our main driveway allows easy pull in or backing in of a vehicle and trailer.
The interior of the cottage presents a laid back lake cottage atmosphere. Our newly installed air conditioning provides a cooling respite from the warming climate.
Right across from our cottage is Park Lane and as the name suggests, it leads to the huge “Krull Park”. The park has many activities from a small RC airfield to a stunning overlook of Lake Ontario with many picnic sites and kiddy attractions. Depending on conditions, swimming is allowed at the beach.
Olcott offers a quaint and quiet setting two blocks from the cottage. Many years ago, a small replica of a New England wharf took shape and the quaint shops now offer a unique shopping and eating experience. We also have several great bars and restaurants within walking distance and nearby via car.
