Overview

About the property

House, 1 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

This Lincoln City vacation home is dubbed "Far View" for good reason. Not only will you have a private hot tub and a fireplace, but you'll have a breathtaking ocean view as far as the eye can see! Plus, it's pet friendly!

Built in 1930, this Oregon Coast beach house is within walking distance to the shore, D River, and Devils Lake State Park. With its quiet but convenient hilltop location on 101, this home is also less than a mile from your choice of family-friendly restaurants. There are two parking spots in the driveway of the home.

The brightly colored inside exudes a happy feel and is a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate together. Cuddle or share coffee before the gas fireplace while the kids watch a Netflix streaming movie on the flatscreen TV just off to the side. The fully stocked kitchen will save you money by supplying all the tools you need to fix a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Upstairs is a cozy TV room with another gas fireplace and couches, as well as the master bedroom with a queen-size bed and access to the charming bathroom featuring a clawfoot tub. Other guests can sleep soundly in the living room as the sounds of the sea lull them to sleep on the pull-out sofa or comfortable Murphy bed. With these extra beds in the downstairs area, up to six people (if some are children) will be comfortable here.

With two decks, this coastal cottage has numerous beach viewing spots. The deck is also where you'll find the luxurious hot tub! Other amenities include WiFi and a private washer and dryer. Plus, up to two family dogs are allowed here with the additional pet fee.

Yet another reason why this rental is so appealing is its proximity to great Northern Oregon Coast attractions. Only a block away is the mouth of the D River, which offers gentle currents that children can play in and enjoy a softer breeze than on the shore. Of course the ocean is there too, and has fantastic kite-worthy winds. Share a picnic at Devils Lake State Park just a five-minute stroll away. For an indoor adventure, visit the Tanger Outlets nearby. Then, treat yourselves to dinner at Kyllo's Seafood and Grill Restaurant.

Make the Far View your new Oregon Coast vacation rental for your annual beach getaway!

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s familys summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Far View - cozy with a great view

 • 5 of 5

This home is very cute and cozy. Just right for a romantic weekend getaway . Or a fun place for a small family as it is just a short walk to the beach or to D River. The stairs to the entrance can be tiring or a great workout. Your call. Loved this place and hated to leave.

Nice View

 • 4 of 5

Nice home with a nice view. It would be nice if more of the windows opened to you could get a nice breeze through the house.

Good trip - okay house.

 • 3 of 5

House could use a deep cleaning. Oddly decorated and outdated, but it was livable. View is fantastic and decks are great! Missing some staples in the kitchen, but we made do. Stairs up to house are steep and tricky - would not recommend for elderly. Our grandpa fell going up back steps. Thankfully, he was okay. Overall, would give the house 3 out of.

Great trip - okay house.

 • 3 of 5

House could use a deep cleaning. Stairs up to house are steep and tricky - would not recommend for elderly. Our grandpa fell going up back steps. Thankfully, he was okay. TV in terrible location, cannot open deck door fully due to poor flooring installation, filthy windows, no drain plug for bathtub, no curtains in bathrooms for windows, wrong coffee filters, minimal dishes, very outdated and mismatched décor. View and decks are great. Lots of space in house... but it is poorly utilized.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to see there was some dissatisfaction with this stay. The property manager has inspected the deck door, housekeeping has cleaned the windows, and a new bath tub plug has been purchased. The owners do not put curtains in the windows because the home is high up on a hill so nobody can see in. Thanks!

Nice location

 • 4 of 5

Would have rated better if there were not 47 steps to the house. Also some local parked his old truck in our parking area making it hard to get in and out on a very busy corner. We called the help phone number but they were not any help in the matter.
