One bedroom detached cottage behind Victorian home 1/4 mile from downtown Ashland. Short walk to plays, restaurants and shopping. One bedroom with queen size bed, separate sitting area with mini-kitchen - sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven. Bathroom attached to bedroom with tub/shower combination. Completely furnished with dishes, cable TV, private off-street parking. Quiet neighborhood with historic homes.
The most magnificent place, morning life was great, evening life was great. Spacious rooms, airy and nice lighting. A short walk to downtown eateries, coffee shops and the Ashland coop, yarn and craft stores, easily reached even for a person in their seventies. Ashland is very compact so everything is near. Parking was super convenient and the neighbors were invisible.
This is a great little cabin, well actually it's a converted part of their garage outbuilding, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Maybe don't plan to cook big meals etc their, as the kithchenette is kind of compact ..... but otherwise really no complaints at all. Very comfortable, and easy walking distance of central/downtown Ashland (if you are OK with a very steep walk back up the hill!). Dawn and Andy are great hosts, but you are completely independant and self contained in the cabin. Great view across town, the vally and to distant mountains, and facing the sunrise too.
I wouldn't hesiate to recoment this cabin to all, (except maybe the very fussy deluxe traveller?), as it's all it's described as and perfect for a couple, or in my case sole occupancy.
Thanks dawn and Andy for your promp help when needed, much appreciated.Hope to see you in 2017.
This spacious and affordable cottage was perfect for our transition time while waiting for our house to be ready. We loved being so close to the park, downtown, the theatres and the Green Show. Our hosts were very welcoming and did all they could to make our stay comfortable. Thank you!
Cottage is well-appointed and close to theaters and Lithia Park. We hope to stay here again when we next visit the Shakespeare Festival!
The cottage was a delight in every way! Our hosts were gracious and helpful, committed to making our stay comfortable. The cottage itself is very large, with sweeping views of the valley. It is well appointed with cable TV, WIFI, AC and a mini kitchen. We were able to walk everywhere. The theaters and Lithia Park just a few minutes down the hill. It made for a wonderful base from which to explore all that Ashland has to offer. We highly recommended it, and would love to stay there again.
