Our home is nestled in the lost pines area called Bastrop. We live on a bluff overlooking the Colorado river and a golf course. The woods around us are a sanctuary to a myriad of birds, especially cardinals, and where owls can be heard calling out to each other, or hawks soaring overhead. Deer can be seen occasionally wandering through.
Our home reflects our love of Texas history, early Republic, built with Austin stone, decorated with an eclectic style of antiques. Our pride and joy is the large porch where we enjoy listening to nature sounds while viewing the gorgeous sunsets above the Pecan orchard across the river.
The Great Room features a large stone fireplace that separates it from the dining area and kitchen.
The neighborhood, with its roller coaster hills, and Tahitian street names is most unique. A little bit of tropical in the hill country. A perfect Bed and Breakfast of a weekend away from your everyday work week.
