Quiet, comfortable, spacious and super clean!

  • 5 of 5

Located on a very quiet street. Loved walking around the neighborhood. Everyone was so friendly. Even a tame bunny nibbling on the grass!

Home was easy to find and is well equipped. Homeowner put a lot of thought into this home. Excellent floor plan could easily and comfortably accommodate 6 adults.

The cleanest vacation rental we have ever rented. I don't know how I can leave this home cleaner than I found it! The owners truly care about this home.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely home. Thank you for the pineapple and bowl of fruit on arrival too!

Beautiful home

  • 4 of 5

This house is beautiful and really more than we needed for the 2 of us but would be perfect for a family or for 2 or 3 couples. It is in a nice neighborhood and the inside is really nice. The only negative was its distance. We spent more time driving than we wanted to, but if you are planning a longer stay (ours was 2 days) it would be fine.

We loved our stay!

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay here, wish we could go back! The house was very easy to find, it is a super cute bungalow. The fruit basket was thoughtful and my kids devoured the whole entire lilikoi jelly in two days that Beth left for us! We are a family of 5 and there was more than enough room for all of us, very spacious. We appreciated the quiet and scenic rainforest like surroundings. The house was extremely clean, the beds and furniture were very comfy, the towels and linens were soft. The fridge is large and the freezer has an ice machine!!! We were thankful for the use of a washer and dryer, and she provides the detergent! There are also cleaning supplies, soap, trash bags, baggies, paper towels, tin foil, and napkins. There is even a bunny that comes into the yard in the evenings to eat, my daughter fell in love with him. A couple of things to note though are :

1. There is no a/c, but there are many fans (floor and ceiling) to keep you cool. We don't mind though as we live on a humid island ourselves and we were only at the house in the evenings.

2. There are bugs, so take appropriate measures with any food. Again, we are used to this but not so much to that extent.

3. if fixing your own meals there are no measuring cups/spoons, large skillet/pot. Crock pot would be really great!

We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, without a doubt!

Owner's Response: Aloha Stephanie, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately when we have humid weather the bugs do show up (the gnats and earwigs esp.). Please thank Emma, Max and Mason for the sweet note and cute pictures. I am glad they enjoyed the neighborhood bunny. He likes to visit all the neighbors ( I think he likes to go and see who has the best food for him). You and your family are welcome back anytime. Much mahalo, Beth

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this home. We traveled all around the island for a couple weeks and stayed at 4 different VRBO places. This home was darling, decorated perfectly and so comfortable. The location was great and the local farmer's market Beth recommended was awesome! Beth was so sweet and left birthday greetings and a gift too! Thank you so much! One of the highlights of our time here was visiting Ahalanui Beach Park- what an awesome place! Lots of parking and picnic space available. It's a beautiful spring-fed pool that is volcanically heated right next to the ocean. I think the water had to be at least 90 degrees. Also, my daughter left a necklace at the property. Thank you Beth for getting it back to us so quickly. It was in our mail when we got back home!

Owner's Response: Aloha Christine, I am very happy you and your family enjoyed your birthday stay. Yes the Ahalanui beach park (warm ponds ) and Maku'u farmers market (Sundays)are only two of the things to see on this side of The Big Island. I would love to have you back if you are ever back this way again. Much Mahalo, Beth

Just outside of town. Perfect for those looking for a quiet retreat. My son loved the openness of the home and we did also. Made us want to move back home!
