Great room and kitchen, 18-foot vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling Occasional wildlife, including deer, fox and coyote, Both showers are over-sized walk-in. Very clean and well decorated. Steep driveway requires 4x4 which was supplied by owners. Nice touch. We would come back

AMAZING view with truly stunning sunrises and sunsets. Pictures do not come close to doing it justice. House was very clean and had everything we needed. Secluded and private, but still only 5 mins to town. Only one small complaint... why does the hot tub cover block the view when opened? Seems to defeat the purpose slightly. Not a big deal, just seemed like an interesting choice. 10/10 would stay again. Thank you SO much for opening up your home and allowing us a perfect weekend of tranquility.

Absolutely beautiful setting

Very clean & beautifully maintained cabin in a breathtaking location. The most well stocked VRBO we’ve ever rented, magnificent cooking utensils, top of the line appliances, lots of nice, thick towels, plenty of extra pillows, sheets & blankets. The beds were amazingly comfortable - especially the master. Bathrobes provided were a nice extra touch. Great hot tub. Wood burning stove was very cozy & put out a lot of heat. Nearby Mueller Park was great for hiking and we also enjoyed a little hiking behind the cabin. There's a small grocery store, liquor store & Family Dollar store within a 5-10 minutes drive. Cripple Creek has lots of casinos & some very good restaurants. Brian & Lisa were wonderful to work with - always responded quickly to emails & very accommodating. Will definitely rent again when in the area!

Great home, well stocked, secluded!

We vacationed in CO to visit family and decide if we would want to move there in the near future. This home was a lovely "home base" to venture around CO with the family.

The pros: This home was so well stocked and well looked after. We didn't want for anything; every cooking utensil we needed was readily available, there was plenty of towels, linens, and pillows, and the laundry facilities meant we didn't have to overpack. The house is beautifully decorated, you'll never believe the master bathroom! The views were unmatched, feeding the birds was a blast, and the hot tub on the deck was just the icing on the cake.

The cons: The listing says you'll need a 4x4 to navigate the driveway in the winter months...the truth is you'll need a sturdy 4 wheel drive vehicle regardless. If you don't own one, luckily the owners supply you with a key to their X-terra, but it did get tedious ferrying everyone up and down from the home to their cars since I was the only person in our group who knew how to drive a manual transmission. The home is about 1 hour away from anywhere worth being (unless you enjoy casinos, there are many to choose from nearby). There is a small grocery store 20ish mins away, but a well stocked one is around a 40 min drive. The seclusion was both good and bad, depending on our mood. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons and I would highly recommend this home to both couples and families. Should we vacation in CO prior to moving there, we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property! Views are stunning. Very peaceful.

My family enjoyed every aspect of this property. We spent evenings on the deck playing games, enjoying wildlife, and relaxing in the hot tub. Love the decore. So much closet space and with the ability to wash clothes we didn't have to pack as much. Kitchen is fully stocked! Loved having a crockpot! Even had staples in the pantry. Bathrooms also have extras in case you forget something. Way better than staying in a hotel!

Local area is quaint with several things to do with the kids.(12 and 16) The property is centrally located for many of the Colorado tourist attractions.

The driveway does require a 4-wheel drive (which they have available) if it's rainy. It rained everyday around 4. As the week went on the driveway was becoming more washed out. But we wouldn't have had it any other way. It was all worth it! We highly recommend this property! Brian and Lisa (owners) were even so kind as to call us with a date when gravel was being delivered just so we were aware. They were very kind and always answered our emails promptly. My family will definitely return to this property!

Great property and nice amenities!

All was great for our stay at Sunset Ridge. Nice to have amenities that other places don't usually provide (extra TP, garbage bags, items in the fridge you usually have to haul in, etc. etc.).

Close to Cripple Creek but a few miles out so you get the get-away feel.

Would highly recommend.
