This property is a passive-solar home. It was built on a site that was too irresistible to pass up. The views are stunning. It is secluded, yet close enough to town to not feel isolated. The peacefulness of this setting is overwhelming at times. Curl up with a good book, turn the music up and watch the sunset, or whatever it is that you enjoy.
Sunset Ridge was absolutely breathtaking! Everything was Perfect! We can't wait to stay there again! Thank you
We enjoyed staying at Sunset Ridge for a family weekend getaway to Cripple Creek. The property is so beautiful. I could sit on the porch and look at the mountain views all day / night long. The driveway is just typical Colorado house steep. We had no problems on it with our truck. The house had everything we needed and I could see us staying here for a longer vacation next time. I could not believe how quiet it is yet so close to town. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with.
Beautiful view and home. Enjoyed our stay! Had difficulty on the road up to the house. Otherwise great stay!
Beautiful home with all conveniences. Driveway a little steep but well worth it.
Wonderful getaway home.
This was a wonderful property to spend a week relaxing and enjoying the Rockies. Brian and Lisa are gracious hosts and made us feel very much at home. We were surprised by the many luxury touches including a vase of cut flowers from the garden sitting on the dining room table, the world's fluffiest towels and an outstanding kitchen.
Besides all of the features of the home itself the location is amazing. A picture perfect view of the mountains from inside the house or from the wrap around deck's many seating areas. And the sunsets truly do justice to the property's name.
Lots of wildlife to see including deer that dropped by most mornings. What surprised us the most is that, even though it is only a five minute drive into Cripple Creek, you could sit on the deck and see and hear only what nature provides. Very peaceful and private.
The kitchen and view were so nice that we chose to eat most of our meals at home. The grocery store in Cripple Creek is small but actually has pretty much anything you would ever need (and easy to get to once you realize that it's the bottom floor of the Ace Hardware store!). Lots of places to visit for day trips. If you are visiting during the Summer we highly recommend catching a show at the Butte Theatre. The quality of the cast and production were far better than we ever would have expected.
We give this our highest recommendation!
Pictures are great, but wait until you get there. Absolutely amazing house with awesome views. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Loved my early morning coffee on the deck. I would recommend this house to anyone staying in the Cripple Creek or Canon City area.
