I loved traveling to Prescott, Arizona's Christmas City, enjoying all that the town has to offer. Especially loved coming for the Tree Lighting Ceremony in December and the Boot Drop for New Years Eve! The Rodeo in July is a must do...the oldest Rodeo in the World!
Love being close to everything! The end of Marina St has Depot Marketplace... where you can find a great Haggens upscale grocery and Verizon, Staples, and of course walking to Whiskey Row... or Coffee at Cuppers of Dinner choices galore.
Carrie Williams purchased this house in 2014
Every trip to Prescott made me love it more. I was lucky enough to find this home in 2014. It is charming and cheery. I love being able to walk to the downtown and enjoy all that it has to offer. Alas, I am not able to live here full time, so look forward to sharing my good fortune with you. Perhaps you too will come to love the four seasons and enjoy watching the snow fall at New Years!
Sunset views of Thumb Butte! Sit on the swing, while you enjoy a beverage or BBQ and enjoy the views from the front deck, or inside enjoy a nice remote controlled fire when you are home. The Location is just two blocks from downtown and all that is offered there. Once you arrive, no more driving required... unless you want to explore outside the downtown attractions.
The house is clean, comfortable and convenient to the downtown shopping area/restaurants). The owner is very responsive and answered questions promptly. Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Thank You Carrie.
Location cannot be beat -- 2 blocks from the center of Prescott. The view off the front porch to Thumb Butte is stunning. Here's my list of pros and cons.
Pros: the view, the master bedroom suite, good washer and dryer, dining table for 4, some nice antique furniture pieces throughout the house. Great neighbors. Fabulous location and view of Thumb Butte. Main floor was cozy on some very chilly Prescott winter days.
Cons: electricity! We had to reset breaker to start dishwasher. Electricity went off and on several times when trying to cook soup on the -- wait there was no stove. It was a cooking plate. The front deck, with the fabulous view, is ready to collapse. The two bottom steps are already broken through. There is someone who lives in the basement, so you are sharing the house. Street parking was okay, but the walk to the scary front steps was precarious. Living room furniture not comfortable.
Overall: safety issues of electricity and rotting front steps and deck overcome the view, location, and even the master suite.
Very well-appointed cozy house. Wonderful kitchen and bedrooms. Be prepared for steep steps up to the porch. Great location.
The house is very nice and comfortable. Carrie provided us with unexpected extras, such as bottled water, coffee & chocolate candies (we arrived on Easter), as well as shampoos and lotions. The house is well stocked with plenty of pans, dishes, towels, etc. We had everything we needed.
My family and I rented this property for a 5-day stay in Prescott for an extended family engagement. The description of the property matched the property itself, though we were pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail in decorating and preparation of the property. The house was clean throughout, with fresh linens on every bed, fresh towels and soaps in each bathroom, and local snacks in the kitchen. The location of the property is "as advertised" taking about 5 minutes to walk to Courthouse Square. This is a far more convenient way to get to Courthouse Square as parking can sometimes be scarce. Any questions we had about the property were addressed in a timely manner by the property owner (or manager?).
The highlight of this property is the master suite. It is located upstairs, and is roomy and well-appointed. The remaining bedrooms are excellent throughout.
This being my first experience with VRBO, and having gone out on a limb to do so with some extended family in tow, I'm happy to say I'd recommend this property to anyone looking for an alternative to spending a week in a hotel. Split 3-ways we spent the same for 5 days that we'd have spent on two nights in a hotel.
The house was perfectly presented and decorated, it felt really warm and like a home; our group was of 6 people and it was comfortable for everyone. The owner was super nice and really easy to reach thru text message. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only little detail I should point out is the quality of the mattresses, they all seemed really soft and a bit uncomfortable (probably old). Still, I would come back!
Prescott downtown activities, restaurants and Gallery's and cafe's ...
Leave your car and walk to town...only 2 blocks!
