this was the perfect house for our family stay in Prescott
The house was perfect for us because it has a beautiful living room area with a gas fireplace where we could visit, a delightful kitchen with everything we needed to prepare all of our meals at home and a large dining table for everyone to gather around. I loved my large master bedroom upstairs with my own bathroom, but I did use the claw foot bathtub downstairs a couple of times for a soak in the tub. My son and daughter stayed in the 2 downstairs bedrooms and they also loved soaking in the large bathtub. If I was going to buy a house in Prescott and live there full-time I would be looking for a house just like the one we stayed in. I walked to town a number of times and the view from the front porch is stunning. We had a few sunny afternoons where we enjoyed sitting outside, enjoying the sun and the scenery. We had a question about the internet one day because I had accidentally unplugged the modem with out knowing it! and Carrie was easy to reach and had the internet company call us with in minutes and solve the problem. Carrie stressed that she was available if we needed anything and she was an amazing hostess. I will definitely book this house again when I return to Prescott and I will check the house availability before planning my trip so I can be sure to stay there again.
Thank you for your review and kind words! Please come back anytime!
Awesome home & location!!!
Absolutely loved this home away from home with wonderful views. The upstairs bedroom suite was the perfect place for my daughter to get ready for her wedding day!
Beautiful, good vibes, and great location!
As a multi-generational group of 6 (3 couples) for a college graduation in Prescott, this house provided an overall nice separation of space. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs -right next to each other, that share a bathroom, and are nicely down the hall, aways from the kitchen and living room. Then upstairs is the master suite, which is very private and spacious. The kitchen is totally stocked, which proved so helpful, since we were making most of our meals. And the living room is very spacious and nice for just hanging out as a family. And there is a functioning BBQ which we used one night. Also the location is great, being that it's only a 5-minute walk from downtown, so even our elderly family members could walk to town.
Only issues are a ridiculously long wifi password that was tedious to duplicate, a lack of proper walkway to get from the street where you park (there isn't a driveway) to the house. There is an incline and it's just dirt with small rocks, so our elderly parents had a very hard time shimmying up the hill without losing their footing. Also, the 2 downstairs bedrooms don't have closets nor dressers to store clothing. But... besides those things, we loved the place and would recommend it to others!
Glad you enjoyed my home. It is true about the gravel...sadly, that belongs to the City and nothing I can do about it. Some people park on it, but I agree it is a bit steep, so use the sidewalk which has an easy incline, when walking to town. The internet password is cumbersome, for security purposes. If ever you would like it sent before hand, so you can copy/paste I am happy to do that. Both bedrooms downstairs do have closets with hangars provided. Also, I have chairs in each room to sit on or stack luggage. Additional chairs are in the hall closet to use as luggage stools or for additional seating on the patio. Always feel free to call me If there are any concerns. Thanks
The home is beautiful, it was very clean and had everything we needed and then some!
We enjoyed our stay! The home exceeded our expectations. The furnishings and amenities were perfect! Location to downtown was great. A few recommendations would be to add curtains or blinds to the front door and the French doors on the bedroom upstairs. Also blinds in one of the bedrooms downstairs would be great. We really loved the home, the fireplace was great and the kitchen had everything we needed. The garbage disposal did not work. Overall, the home was perfect for us and we would love to stay there again. We would definitely recommend this home. The view on the front porch was beautiful. We cannot say enough good things about this home! Perfect!!
I am glad you enjoyed your stay! Some people like to block the views through the glass doors.... there are sets of sheers that can drape over the doors located in the downstairs closets. Thanks always for alerting me to maintenance issues, as I like to keep the home in perfect condition. Disposal is cleared and operational!
Great location, I thought it would sleep more.
Maybe it wasn't the best fit. We were in town for a mountain bike event and had six guys. We were thinking that some could sleep on the couch and such, but the couches couldn't be slept on (old and springs). No pullouts. Two of us doubled up on the king bed, but the other guys felt that two beds were too small to double up on. So bummer, they ended up going somewhere else. Location was great, place was clean.
The photos and description of this home represent precisely what you will find.
As stated: This home has 1 King and 2 queen beds. Sleeping six, typically means 2 people would be sharing a bed. Additionally,
The City of Prescott regulates how many people can stay in a home, based on beds and bathrooms.
We had 6 adults who all agree it was a great home & location to the charming city of Prescott!
Carrie was very accessible for questions & made every effort to comply! The house was clean & well cared for. Everything we needed was there . We will return !!
Thank you for the kind words! I am always happy top hear when people have a nice time in Prescott and enjoy my home. Please come back anytime!
