Family Time Vacation Rentals specializes in managing privately owned cabins-homes, lodges and condos. We are hands on and live where are properties are located. My wife and I started our business in 2008 after deciding we wanted to give our children the simpler life of living in the country.
Our business is built on the concept of providing comfortable lodging to families and individuals who want to feel the comforts of home while away on vacation. With over seven years of experience in the nightly rental business, we consistently work to provide top quality properties at affordable rates. A large percentage of our guests who visit the area and stay with us become repeat customers because they had a great time and have said the accommodations and beautiful landscape of where their vacation home was located were exceptional.
The Hideout purchased this cabin in 2008
We stayed at the hideout for three nights over spring break. This property is centrally located between Bryce and Zion but there is literally nothing else around. As we pulled into the steep driveway, the wheels started to spin and we were forced to park at the bottom of the driveway. Within a couple of hours of being in the house, my 15 yr old son found three spiders (it reminded me of one of the reviews I had read on this property before booking). There were several tiles in both the entryway and in the upstairs rec room that were cracked and obnoxiously repaired with duct tape. As you walked up the stairs into the main living area, the air vent (which was at eye level) was caked full of dirt and dust and a constant reminder that the house wasn't as clean as it should be. The alarm clock next to our bed in the upstairs bedroom was also coated with a layer of dust. We didn't have hot water for the first 24 hours in the home since the switch on the hot water heater had been turned off. There were several board games and puzzles which were in disarray and all of the puzzles were incomplete and missing numerous pieces. The pool table saved the day and kept us very entertained! While I was aware there was green carpeting in the bathrooms and in the kitchen, I wasn't prepared for how grossed out it would make me feel. There is no window or fan in the upstairs master bathroom.
One night we ended up going to the gas station to get dinner (which actually worked out well; they served hot dogs, fresh grilled burgers and chicken strips). While walking to the gas station, we came across a neighbor that was walking his dog. We smiled at him and said 'Hi." He said he did not recognize us and that we were "not welcome here." He warmed up a little after we told him we were staying in the neighborhood. After a week of vacationing it was nice to have a wash machine to do laundry. Because of the placement of the dryer, you are not able to open up the dryer door more that 30% because there is a wall in the way.
Bottom line: We had a good time but the home felt unclean and neglected and in its current condition, I would not stay here again.
I took my family and two more couples with kids up for the holiday. It slept 6 adults and 8 kids perfectly. Great time. Very open upstairs. About 15 min from Duck Creek Village which was an easy drive if we wanted to go. I would stay again. Cabin was everything it said it was.
Nice cabin with a great deck and fire pit. The driveway is a bit steep and might not be handy for older guests. Kitchen front room and rec room flowed well. Deer and birds abound. Very fun.
We had such a great time here! It's a great cabin for kids and adults. The cabin had a lot to keep the kids entertained with a playground, a toy corner, kid friendly porches and a big kid room with multiple beds. The older kids loved exploring the beautiful surroundings and the adults loved the pool table, bar and outdoor seating area. The house was clean and bug free. Thank you for the memories!
We love our stay here. It was our home base to explore both Zion and Bryce Canyon. Was a drive to both, but very quiet and serene surroundings. We enjoyed the fire pit on a cool night. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Very difficult and hazardous for guests traveling on motorcycles due to loose gravel driveways. The house has a major spider infestation.
Appears there breeding somewhere in the home because we literally had to keep killing them the entire visit. Estimate we killed 50+
