This is a 3/br 2/bath property sitting on 0.5 acres overlooking the beautiful Little River near the Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area. The property has a fishing dock and ample parking for vehicles and boats. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with plenty of good fishing, this place will not disappoint. There are tons of great restaurants nearby and the Paragon Casino is only ten minutes away! Note: The property is located off the beaten path and there are gravel roads on the way. While these gravel roads are well maintained, your vehicle may get a bit dusty or muddy, depending on the weather.
We expect our guests to behave with the civility and trustworthiness of a family friend. Sorry, no smoking. House is not child-proofed! Parents agree to mind their children vigilantly inside (art, antiques, family heirlooms abound!) and outdoors (there are pets & domesticated animals, snakes, stinging insects, and assorted other wild critters out here in the country!).
My name is Jason. I grew up in Avoyelles Parish, fishing and hunting in and around the Spring Bayou area. Beginning with my grandfather, my family has owned a camp in this area and have kept the tradition going. I currently live in South Louisiana but visit "home" often.

Our stay here was comfortable and enjoyable. The property is cozy and clean. The owner made himself available to us promptly. The Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area adjacent to the property is a great place to visit, really quite beautiful. We kayaked. I imagine that it is great for fishing. I highly recommend making your getaway to this destination! Our thanks to the owner for a relaxing stay.
Very clean, comfortable, well-equipped home from home for our trip to Marksville. Jason was always prompt to answer our questions. We were a party of three adults and two older teenagers and it worked perfectly for us. Our only regret was that we didn't get enough time to sit back and enjoy nature as much as we would have liked. We hope to come back soon.
We had a great time at this house and in Louisiana. This was a great location for nearby birding destinations,
and the river behind the house had lots of nice sites and sounds. Very peaceful there any time of the day.
The owner was very nice and ready to help. As we have found in the past, the people in La. are very friendly and helpful.. Try the Back Porch Restaurant in town if you like catfish.
We had fun sitting around the fire at night. We fished of the dock and enjoyed games surrounded around the table inside. Very clean and cozy. Jason was awesome!
This place was absolutely amaxing. Completely relaxing, on the water and every amenity you could think of. We will be back. Definitely bring your poles and enjoy catching fish. I even enjoyed watching the wildlife. Truly can't wait to return and definitely is Home away from home
We rented this place during the 4th of July weekend to celebrate my mom's 68th birthday. It was on her bucket list to go fishing with the family and this was the perfect place to do that! Since her and my dad are getting a little older they can't be out in the heat for too long, so the cabin was ideal. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and an open kitchen flowing into the living room it was plenty enough room! We had a blast and we will be back! The owner Jason was amazing and very accommodating..
