About Mrs Sandy Orr
My husband and I with our family have lived at Seabank for over 15 years and never get tired of waking up to the magnificent view from our house. We have offered holiday rentals since 2006 and enjoy welcoming back many repeat guests who have also become friends. I come from the island of Iona so I am always delighted to recommend day trips to Mull and Iona as I can be sure most of my guests will enjoy the experience! We live in a really beautiful part of the world and love meeting people who share our enthusiasm for nature, wildlife, scenery and outdoor activities. It is also a pleasure to share our local produce which includes the finest seafood and many of our restaurants are using the best of Argyll's ingredients in their menus.

Wonderful accommodation in a stupendous setting
We had a wonderful week in Seabank Farmhouse. The setting is truly spectacular and the house is spacious, warm and comfortable, and has the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen in a holiday let. The large kitchen/dining area is just perfect for cooking and eating large meals for large groups. The owners were most friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The location is very convenient for lots of different activities, and Oban is near enough that you have time to get ice cream home in the car before it melts. This was very important to us as we had no rain all week, and only a few clouds, and ate lunch outside like in the South of France.
All in all, a highly recommended stay.
Thank you for your wonderful review. I am very happy that you enjoyed your week at Seabank and would love to welcome you back on another occasion. Regards, Sandy
Stunning Idilyic Position
We wanted to show off Glencoe and surrounding area to our dear friends visiting from NZ. Seabank Farmhouse hit the spot. (Pity no hot tub to view the glorious night sky). My son is a keen photographer and we were lucky enough to observe the Aurora Borealis). A well appointed and equipped functional property which was spotlessly clean. We all felt extremely comfortable and relaxed. Our two dogs thought they had gone to doggy heaven with the beach being so close. The wooden floors downstairs were excellent and practical for families with dogs. Sufficient local facilities and yet not too far from Glencoe and Oban. I would imagine it's magical at Christmas. Could have stayed forever! Thanks for the warm welcome and the delicious homemade scones and cream Sandy.
5 stars for house, location, view & hospitality
This is a truly hidden gem - so close to Oban town and there so far away to have your privacy. Sandy is a wonderful owner who takes good care of you during the stay if you have a problem she is right there.
The house is tastefully furnished and clean. Views are magnificant!! Well be back for sure!
Thank you for coming all the way from Switzerland to Seabank! I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to welcoming you back.
The Winter Festival in Oban meant there was plenty going on, but I think you also enjoyed the peace and quiet at the Farmhouse.
Seabank farmhouse is perfect for our family holiday, 10 of us. The house is exactly as it appears in the photographs, and is spotlessly clean inside too. The location is perfect for getting away from everything but also a great base to go exploring, walking if you want too.
We love spending our holiday time at Seabank and return year after year. Sandy and David are lovely welcoming hosts. So go on and book it, guarantee that you won't regret it!!!
Fantastic Seabank Lodge
We all had a great time, Fantastic location with a great view from the hot tub! A warm welcome from the owners. Would highly recommend...... We will be back!
Thank you very much. I am delighted that you all enjoyed your stay at Seabank Lodge and hope to welcome you back again.
Best holiday in ten years!
I can't recommend this place highly enough. If you want a house that is not overlooked, where you can see awesome sunsets daily, sit in the hot tub at night and watch the moon and stars while bats flit overhead then this is the place for you! Oh, and a veritable paradise for birdwatchers!
The owners were brilliant, the house was clean, well equipped and comfortable.
Seriously........ what's not to like!
Thanks for the fantastic review of Seabank Lodge. I know you particularly enjoyed bird watching and your bird list continues to interest my guests. The pair of sea eagles were around the loch recently so I don't know if it was a day trip from the isle of Mull, or whether it was the pair from Loch Etive.
I really appreciate all your kind comments and Thanks for taking the time to write a review.
Visit some of the Inner Hebrides, to view the wonderful wildlife. Boat trips leave from Oban or take the small plane from Connel Airport, 10 minutes from Seabank) to Coll, Tiree, Colonsay or Islay.
There are opportunities for most outdoor activities, both on and off the water in the area.
There is a new Sustrans cycle track from Oban to Ballachulish Bridge and from Seabank it is easy to join sections of this walking and cycling route. The forests also have way-marked cycle paths for mountain bikes. Downhill biking course is at Nevis Range, Fort William.
Seabank is an easily accessible base for those wishing to explore the region or a secluded retreat from which to enjoy the ever changing views of mountains and loch.
Sea Kayaking is increasingly popular in this area with many places offering courses from beginner to expert. The sea loch in front of Seabank is ideal for launching kayaks and canoes.
Boat trips to the Inner and Outer Hebrides are available from Oban. Wildlife is in abundance and guests have enjoyed going on the whale watching trips from Mull. Dolphins, minke whales and basking sharks are spotted regularly from the boat tours going to the island of Staffa. BBC 'Hebrides' Islands on the Edge, showcases these islands and all are easily accessible from Seabank.
There are various castles to visit in the area. Barcaldine Castle is our next door neighbour, and Dunstaffnage Castle is closer to Oban. Duart Castle on the island of Mull and Inveraray Castle add to the choice of castles to visit.
Oban has a whisky distillery and visitors centre.
