Overview

About the property

Newly Remodeled one bedroom cottage next to waters edge

Just steps away from Seneca Lake!

Walk out the front door and enjoy coffee and casual dining on the shore underneath the shade of beautiful old-growth trees. Newly-renovated cottage with air conditioning, a queen bed, new appliances including microwave. This is in the beautiful Peach Orchard neighborhood on a town maintained, paved road. Unlike most lake cottages that have lakewater or beachwell water systems, this cottage is served by the town municipal water system.

Location offers the best of both worlds - the peacefulness of lake living and the excitement of local tourist activities. Many major wineries are with in just a few miles, outlet malls are a quick trip down the highway, and world-famous attractions such as the Corning Museum of Glass and Watkins Glen International are less than 45 minutes away.

Get away from it all, but don't give up a thing, in this charming and bright lakeside cottage!

Two kayaks, a paddle boat and row boat are available for use by our guests.

Watkins Glen International Nascar weeked has a three night minimum.

This is a seasonal use cottage and is only rented from May to mid October.

A great little property in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

This is a really nice property in a great location. I am a frequent traveler to Seneca Lake and usually stay at hotels but this is a MUCH better option. When you don't feel like wine tasting or sight seeing, you still have PLENTY to do. The cottage has multiple boats to use, you can swim in the lake(depending on time of year), relax by the firepit or cookout on the grill. The cottage itself is very clean and well maintained and is the perfect size for 2 people. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

Clean, quiet, helpful and friendly owners.

  • 4 of 5

This property met our expectations, was just what we were looking for:an affordable private place right on the water. The unit had everything you would need to stay for several days, and the gracious hosts welcomed us with a bottle of wine and the offer to ask for anything we need or needs attention. The place seemed freshly renovated and we didn't have need or want for anything not provided. Would recommend this property and would return.

Perfect getaway on Lake Seneca!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first trip to Seneca Lake and our stay at Bob and Diana's was exactly what we were looking for. The place is very clean and simple with everything we needed. Being right on the lake with the kayaks, paddleboat, row boat and beautiful sunsets made for a much needed relaxing weekend. More than any hotel could offer at that price. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and we had a nice chat with them when we arrived. I don't think we went further than a 2 mile radius since we had plenty to keep us busy that close. I do suggest the jazz brunch at Stone Cat cafe or any meal which is maybe a mile away. There was live music all weekend long at many local wineries and breweries. All in all we had a wonderful time and would love stay there again sometime soon! (I would take note to the staircase to get down to the rental. It's a doozie) I'm pretty sure every place on that area of the lake has some steep steps to get there. They didn't bother us but it may be a problem for some people. Thank you again! We had a lovely time!

Owner's Response: Kim and Matt, We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage. Its great that you were able to sample so much of what the local area offers! You are correct that most of the cottages have steps due to the contour of the land around the lake. Many cottages have significantly more steps than our modern, well constructed stairs. Some others are downright challenging. Virtually all of our guests agree that the cottage and lakefront at the bottom of the stairs is worth the trip down! Thanks for staying with us. Bob & Diana

Beautiful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I made our first trip to the Finger lakes to cheer our daughters on in the Seneca7 relay race. We decided to rent a home and make a vacation of it. What a lovely place we found to stay! The view is beautiful, the home is cozy and clean. So many Seneca wineries are close by. We are already planning a return trip.

Very Nice Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice comfortable and cozy cottage right on the water. It was the perfect location for a weekend getaway. Seriously, the only sounds we heard was the sound of the water, so quiet and peaceful. Cottage is well maintained and very clean. Just minutes from Watkins Glen and more winery's you could ask for. Thanks again Bob and Diana for a great weekend.
