Private setting surrounded by mountain laurels and rhododendrons. The home features open living area with vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace with gas logs and wood floors throughout. Almost all wood interior for a true mountain experience. The kitchen features sandstone counter tops with upscale appliances. A large screened porch is an added feature as a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The single car garage is connected to the house by a breezeway.

Master suite features a quality king bed. Master bath includes travertine marble floors and shower, walk-in shower with frameless door and, vanity.

Bedroom #2 features 2 twins. All beddings are quality mattresses, new or near new. Bathroom #2 has wood floors and features tub/shower combo and vanity.

Washer/Dryer is off master bedroom.

Sweet, Close to Town, and Comfortable!

Enjoyed my 4 days at Mountain Laurel Cottage. While close, even walking distance to town, it is in a quiet neighborhood that is nice to walk around. The screened in porch had comfortable furniture and good lighting. The shower worked well as did all the other appliances. House rules and helps were clearly notated. The fridge is under counter but ample. I so appreciated the quiet at the end of a busy day.

Highlands, NC Cottage

Nice, comfy, quiet, and private cottage on the far edge of Highlands. Nicely furnished and equipped. We visited the town for our anniversary. Great town and area. Well documented info package— make sure to follow Bill’s directions when you get close, not Google maps!! Google will get you lost! My wife enjoyed the screened in porch for breakfast and relaxing. We’d stay here again if in the area.

Well thought out mountain house just outside Highlands. Easy communication, check in, and exit. We especially enjoyed the gas logs in the fireplace!

We decided in January, 2015 to purchase this home for our family's personal use. We are sharing the home with others for select weeks of the year. Since we enjoy using the home ourselves, you can be assured the home is furnished and cared for at a personal standard.

Almost all of the interior is finished with wood paneling. With a stone fireplace the home provides true mountain resort cottage enjoyment. Along with the wooded setting and closeness to town made our selection of this home an easy decision to purchase. We love our time in this home and are confident you will too.
