Our Junior 1 Bedroom Apartment will provide you with the perfect urban oasis in Chicago's hip East Lakeview neighborhood on the city's Northside. Ideal for business travelers, solo travelers, couples, or small families looking for private, peaceful, comfortable, and clean accommodations for both short and long term stays.

Located in Chicago's East Lakeview Neighborhood (home of Wrigleyville and Boystown), our Apartment provides peace & quiet while only minutes away from Chicago's best attractions. Steps from Lake Michigan and Belmont Harbor; with easy access to the lakefront, nightlife, dining, entertainment, public transportation, and quick access to downtown.

The apartment, located in a vintage Chicago Elevator Building, features hotel style amenities, comfort and personalized "host-concierge service" in your own PRIVATE 1 bedroom apartment. Fully loaded apartment features main living room, separate dining area/workspace, and fully equipped kitchen... stocked amenities throughout! ALL of this is yours at an extremely AFFORDABLE price! We are priced far below what you would spend at comparable Chicago hotels.

Comfortable, clean, and designed accommodations for two people; with total accommodations of up to four people for those on a budget. The apartment features an EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE Queen Size Memory Foam Mattress Bed (sleeping two) and an additional sofa pull-out bed can be utilized as well (sleeping an additional 2 persons, when needed). *Please note - when the sofa bed is in use, you will lose much of the Living Room space. However, it slides back easily after use.

SOFA BED: Please provide us with notice if you will be utilizing the pull-out bed so that we can provide you with the necessary linens.

RATES: Nightly rates vary based upon season, holidays, and other contributing factors. Please select dates to review accurate quote. Weekly and Monthly rates may be negotiated, if not already set up in the system, depending on the week and season; please send an inquiry with questions.

PETS: We are pet friendly, but only with prior discussion and approval so please send an inquiry. There will be an additional cleaning fee charged determined per request.

FAMILIES: We are "family friendly" with a few points to consider. Our home is not by any means "child proofed". We do ask that all children be supervised by a parent at all times. The sofa bed can easily sleep children, but there is not a private room for them so it would be a communal family environment. Also, all children are to be considered as guests during booking. Exceptions to this can be made for infants in which the parents will be supplying the infants bed and linens (travel crib, etc), with prior approval. We do not have necessary bed/crib and linens for infants. Please contact us for further details and with any questions.

GUEST ACCESS: We want you to feel at home while you are staying in our unit. The apartment is your private and personal space while visiting Chicago. You have access to the entire unit and if you need anything please feel free to use it. Small amounts of snacks, beverages, and cooking supplies are stocked for your convenience.

The building has coin operated laundry facilities as well (Washer and Dryer). These are pay to use facilities. We will provide an iron and plenty of closet and hanging space in unit.

Our true and main goal is to provide you with a CHARMING, COMFORTABLE, and CLEAN apartment to call your home while you are in Chicago so you can focus on enjoying your vacation and this wonderful city.

We are both very easy going and our goal is to accommodate YOU, our guests. Please see our reviews as it highlights the pride we have as hosts and the commitment we make to you. With that being said, the following HOUSE RULES and FAQs are in place to help the process be enjoyable and seamless from check-in to check-out.

*Before or immediately after booking, please send us a message to tell us a little about yourself and the reason for your visit. This will help us ensure our unit is right for you, help us better accommodate your individual needs, and plan for your arrival.

*GOLDEN RULE: MOST IMPORTANTLY, ENJOY YOUR "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" AND TREAT IT AS YOU WOULD TREAT YOUR OWN HOME (or better)!

*CHECK-INs: Standard check-in is after 3pm on arrival day with standard Check-In hours of 3pm-8pm. For check-ins after 8pm please notify us so that we can make proper arrangements to ensure a smooth check in process. You MUST notify us your travel and estimated check-in time and if check-in will be after 8pm it must be discussed beforehand.

In some cases we may be able to accommodate an early check in; but this is on a case by case basis and determined by booking schedule. If we are unable to accommodate an early check-in due to booking and cleaning schedule, we may be able to have you drop off your luggage while we finish preparing the unit for your check-in. Again, this must be communicated with us ahead of time.

*CHECK-OUTs: Standard Check-Out time is 11am the day of departure.

*TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS: Please communicate your arrival and departure times as soon as travel plans are made. In some circumstances we may be able to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out; however, this is dependent on the booking schedule of the apartment so it is important to communicate travel plans with hosts in advance. In rare cases when travel plans are not accurately communicated to us, a convenience fee may be applied to early (before 3pm) or late (after 8pm) check-ins; and late check-outs (after 11am).

*HOST SCHEDULING: Please keep in mind that we plan our day around your schedule so that you have a quick and smooth check-in. We ask for communication about check in times so that we can make proper arrangements and schedule accordingly; especially important with our work schedules. We ask that you take that into consideration when communicating with us.

*KEYS AND LOCKOUTS: Please take keys with you EVERY time you exit the apartment. For your safety and security the door automatically locks when closed. A $50 fee will be charged for lockouts and lost keys.

*SMOKING: No Smoking in the apartment; however, you are more than welcome to smoke outside the building. There will be a cleaning fee of $100 taken out of security deposit if smoking occurs in the unit.

*PARTIES/LARGE GROUPS: The space is NOT adequate for hosting large groups or parties.

*UNREGISTERED PEOPLE: Only guests registered at time of reservations or with prior written communication and approval by hosts, are permitted to stay in the apartment for the duration of your trip.

*USAGE: Usage of all snacks, coffee/tea, amenities, paper products and toiletries is expected and encouraged.

*HOUSEHOLD ITEMS: Please do not take any of the "permanent" household items without returning before departure. "If you break it, take it, or stain it, you buy it." If something breaks or is damaged, please communicate with us and we can work something out. Most importantly, this will allow us to find a quick solution, repair, or replacement for you stay!

*CLEANING: Upon leaving, please return the unit as you found it when you arrived. We kindly request that you 1) Tidy up any mess and pick up before leaving; 2) Clean any used dishes, appliances, pots and pans; 3) place all trash in trash cans (don't worry, we will take the trash out).

*SECURITY DEPOSIT: The security deposit is FULLY refundable and will be collected ONLY if damage occurs, items are missing from the unit, or for violations of House Rules. We have NOT had to collect on any security deposits in the past and it is our goal to never collect on a deposit with our bookings. Proper understanding of the rules, respect of the apartment, and thorough communication can help ensure this.

About Phil and Tony

We are two very dedicated and passionate guys, working hard to provide a stronger future for ourselves and our dog, Dale. Our journey on Airbnb has been a blessing - a journey we started together, and a journey which allows us to work together as a couple. We both come from hospitality backgrounds and working with people is something we look forward to - AirBnB definitely gives us this opportunity. Our work schedules are quite busy, and many weeks AirBnB allows us to work together outside of our careers... oddly enough, true quality time together.

One of the main reasons we host travelers is so that we may travel. Tony is from the island of Guam and has not been home to see his family in over six years due to the outrageously expensive costs of returning home. Through our time together, I have not yet had the opportunity to meet his family for this very reason. We decided to host so that we soon can make this dream of visiting his home and family a reality. Its a fun irony - we hope to provide our guests with the ability to enjoy an affordable and memorable vacation in Chicago so that we may soon travel ourselves.

Great hosts!

We were in town for trip to Wrigley. We needed our tickets printed and our flight was delayed 5 hours. I texted the host to see if he had a printer. He went to HIS OFFICE to print the tickets for me and had them waiting in the house when we got there. If this was a hotel chain I would have called the CEO to tell them about how awesome this customer service was. Place is cozy but perfect for traveler or couple. They even had a brand new luffa in the shower for people. It's a $6 uber to Wrigley or about a 15 minute walk, really close to the Belmont train stop, 3-4 blocks. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful. Cubs lost 1-0 which was a bummer.

Perfect for our stay in Chicago

This apt was exactly what we were looking for and needing for our stay. We were in town for the Cubs game and wanted to be within walking distance. The apt is only about a 15 min walk to Wrigley Field and is in a very nice and safe area. We walked to and from (very late at night) with no worries at all. We were able park our car on the same block of the apt without any trouble.

The apt was very clean and provided everything that a person would need. Phil and Tony are very accommodating and take pride in their property to ensure you have a comfortable stay. There are multiple cafes and pubs in the area within walking distance.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we were looking for and they exceeded our expectations.

Comfortable and cozy Chicago stay.

Phil met me right on time with the key and even had a parking space available for me. He was very accommodating with any request that I made. The kitchen was stocked with water, cereal, milk and coffee was well. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is excellent if you are looking for a Chicago experience. Plan on parking your car, if you drive, and using Uber or taking the close by metro.

Great location, well appointed, comfortable!

My husband and I stayed here 4 days to try sailing on Lake Michigan, so this property's location near Belmont Harbor was ideal. Owners were very communicative and met us easily on the first day to provide parking passes and keys. Parking was a little difficult due to a nearby festival going on, but we were able to locate parking nearby once the festival ended. Accommodations were tidy, comfortable, and we had all we needed for our brief stay. A keurig with coffee, bananas, fruit juices, water, tea, bagels and milk, along with a nice bottle of red wine were all left for us to enjoy at no extra charge. Bed was a comfortable Tempurpedic type with plenty of pillows. An air conditioning unit, as well as some ceiling fans, made the environs cool and comfortable during the hot weather. A lift was available to get your suitcases up to the 5th floor unit. Bath was well stocked with items one might need like soap, hair products, towels and such. One thing that helped us greatly was the availability of recent maps and guides to Chicago, along with bus and subway schedules. Bus has a stop right outside the building and a train/subway stop was a short walk away. Plenty of restaurants, nightlife nearby, along with Wrigley field a little farther. You could definitely tell that Phil and Tony want their guest to be pampered and happy, which we were. Of note, this is a multi-unit building, but was surprisingly quiet. No noisy neighbors, and this unit was at the back of the building away from potential street noise. I was very happy with our stay, and would consider staying here again.Thank you, Phil and Tony!

The Neighborhood

You are in the heart of Chicago's East Lakeview Neighborhood only minutes from Downtown... Home to both Wrigleyville and Boystown. On the north side of Chicago, you are in one of the hippest and hottest neighborhoods. Lakeview East is a culturally diverse Chicago neighborhood with many great treasures to explore.

To our east, we are only steps from the Belmont Harbor, the stunning lakefront and beautiful Lake Michigan. To our west, we are just steps from some of Chicago's best dining, nightlife, and entertainment. Wrigley Field, Home of The Chicago Cubs, is within walking distance. To the immediate south is beautiful Lincoln Park including the Lincoln Park Zoo. By car or public transportation, we are only minutes from Chicago's world-class downtown and the "Loop". Chicago public transportation, both trains (subway) and buses can be easily accessed within minutes.

For basic needs, there is an urban super market just two blocks to the east (towards the lake), and a 24-hr Walgreen's just two blocks to the west. Of course, being in the heart of Chicago - restaurants, bars, entertainment, and shopping are all nearby.

Getting around

CAR & PARKING

If you're driving, we will provide you with parking permits during your stay at no additional cost. Unfortunately we do not have a dedicated parking spot at our unit; but with the passes neighborhood parking will be as convenient as Chicago parking could be. This will allow you to park in any of the neighborhood blocks near the unit. While you may not find a space directly in front of the unit, the passes will allow you to park within a short walking distance. You will want to pay attention to the signs on Belmont street and other parking restrictions (check street signs) as some of their spots are pay parking or time restricted and you would want to avoid those. The permits would allow for free parking on the "neighborhood" streets.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Public Transportation can be easily accessed just outside the building. Cabs and Uber can easy be hailed as well. Only two blocks to the east (towards the Lake) you can hop on the Express Bus taking you downtown to the heart of Michigan Avenue in minutes. Only a few blocks to the west is access to Chicago's Belmont Train Station (Red, Brown, and Purple Lines) with quick access to downtown. We will provide you with tips on getting the best usage out of Chicago's top class public transportation.

TRAIN AND BUS

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) operates elevated (‘L’) and subway trains in the city and nearby suburbs offering quick transportation to/from the local airports and other popular Chicago attractions. There are seven different lines indicated by color. The BELMONT STATION with access to the RED, BROWN, and PURPLE LINES is just a short walk from the apartment.

Buses easily connect you and transport you anywhere across the city. The BROADWAY, BELMONT, HALSTED, CLARK, SHERIDAN, and LAKE SHORE DRIVE EXPRESS buses are all nearby. The Lake Shore Drive Express Bus in only a few minutes walk from the apartment and can easily take you to the heart of the Magnificent Mile and Downtown Chicago in minutes.

TAXI AND UBER

Cabs can be hailed at almost any time directly in front of the building. UberTaxi is available in Chicago and a great way to make sure you don't have to wait for a cab during off hours. While city rules require taxis to accept credit cards, I always recommend asking beforehand as sometimes the cab's "machine may not be working". When in doubt... use uber or ask!
