Screened front porch with wrap around deck. Sun deck on rear of house.
Master has queen bed and guest bedroom has queen bed.
Third bedroom has twin beds.
Master has separate sound view balcony. Incredible view!
The home is one block from the beach.
I grew up in Raleigh and graduated from Broughton high school and my wife grew up in Hendetson NC and graduated from Northern Vance high school. We are raising our kids in Henderson NC.

We chose this property and the Emerald Isle area because we grew up vacationing here. We have been coming to Emerald Isle since we were kids. This house is right in front of the bike path which is about five miles long. We love the location of this home as well as the screened front porch.
We bought this property when you couldn't see it from the road for the bushes and overgrown trees. We bought this house and renovated it from the ground up. It was certainly a diamond in the ruff! It is now a shiny beautiful diamond.
The view to the sound from the master bedroom balcony is incredible. The restaurants and local shops are great as well.
Emerald Isle is a vacation destination for young and old. We believe you will enjoy the home as much as we do.
Nicely remodeled and furnished. Had all of the things you would need for a quick weekend or a long term stay! Quick and easy walk to beach and smooth drive to town and other beaches. Our two dachshunds really loved it there too! The sunny screened in deck was their favorite. Thank you for opening your home up to us!
We enjoyed our stay at this home. We had everything we needed and a few additional touches that added to the stay. There was a waffle iron so we decided to make waffles for one of our breakfasts. We made all of our meals at the house.
The home was clean and well kept.
It is easy to access the beach from the house...just a short 5 minute walk. We practically had the beach to ourselves.
There are plenty of areas to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. It is on the main highway so that does add some noise, but it didn't bother us.

The house is pretty, comfortable and very easy to get to the beach, our main aim for the trip. 4 people were acommodated quite well with 2 baths and a large kitchen ready for cooking, which we did! I would recommend it to anyone with a small to medium group.
Very nicely renovated cottage, just a short walk to the beach. We were worried traffic may be an issue since it's on the sound side of the main road but there was never any problems getting across, neither with the cars nor walking. Plenty of parking space, kitchen is very nicely equipped. The upstairs shower is tiny and the AC only has one thermostat so it was a bit on the warm side upstairs but not bad.
Tony Howell's home was absolutely beautiful! The furnishings, decor, and appliances were all outstanding. The home was clean and well maintained. Located 2 blocks from the beach with easy access to beach walks, in a quiet setting just off the bike path. This property was halfway between Emerald Isle commercial district and North Carolina aquarium. Beaches were clean, water was clear, no insects. The home had plenty of outdoor decking with a screened in porch, covered parking, outdoor shower. All that is needed for a beach vacation. Tony was a wonderful, attentive landlord, who was always available if needed.
We stayed in Tony's house for two weeks in July. The house is great; kitchen, dining and living area is very spacious with new, contemporary furnishing. The master bed and bathroom are on the second floor (first floor is parking), the other two bedrooms are on the third floor. The kids loved the separation. The kitchen is well-equipped including towels. We cooked almost every night and didn't miss anything. The house was completely set-up with a first supply of paper products, soaps, laundry detergent, etc. - thank you, that was super helpful. All porches are equipped with chairs (deck chairs or rocking chairs) and the grill on the back porch is actually a gas grill not charcoal - a plus.
Emerald Drive is quite a busy street so there is some traffic noise. However, it dies down substantially at night. The walk to the beach takes maybe four or five minutes. One can NOT park at the public beach access; the access is really only for the people living in the block behind oceanfront. There are 25 steps to climb and to descend to access the beach. All this leads to a very empty beach - there was maybe a family every 50-60 feet.
We enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this property.
