About Mary Kabat

Our first trip to Prescott was in September, 2013, and the VRBO house that we rented was a hub to all the activities that we had planned. We spent time at the Grand Canyon, planned a balloon ride in Sedona, went horseback riding, golfing and rented a jeep for the day. It was such a great trip that we came back in November and began looking at properties. We purchased this home in the summer of 2014 and spent a year updating it for a VRBO. We welcome you to be one of the first to stay in our Prescott Vacation Home. Feel free to call with any questions. Mary & Jerry Kabat

Why Mary Kabat chose Arizona

We are from the Midwest so what we loved about this area included the following:

Cool Summers, Warmer Winters, Green Foliage and Changing Fall Colors. Prescott is centrally located to so many places to go and see... you can travel north to higher elevations or south to the big city life and much warmer climates!

We purchased this home for the location to the downtown area. We wanted to be walking distance to town, banks, restaurants and a grocery store.

What makes this house unique

"Why Prescott? According to the readers and published by the Daily Courier: "Nestled in the conifer forests of the Bradshaw Mountains, Prescott is a historic city boasting much in the way of adventure and culture. Golfers flock to its six pristine courses, while outdoor enthusiasts find exciting hiking trails, secluded picnicking spots and adventure on the waters of its five lakes. Discover the history of the Old West in the city's museums, historic railways and the Pioneer Home Cemetery, where "Big Nose Kate" Elder, wife of Doc Holiday, found her final resting place."

Prescott is #3 of the Top destinations on the rise in the U.S.

Close to everything

  • 5 of 5

This house was amazingly close to everything. We brought our bikes and we were able to bike to downtown, although the bike ride coming home was a little tiring considering you had to go uphill. The house was beautiful and very clean. The front yard and the putting green was were we spent a lot of our time, my kids loved just playing around with toys while we sat on the deck. The owners were easy to work with and we look forward to staying in this house again.

Beautiful Historic Home in downtown Prescott, Arizona

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and four other friends enjoyed this historic home very much. We drove up for a weekend getaway from the Glendale and Peoria, Arizona areas. And it was such a treat to find a historic home that was updated with all the modern conveniences. The owners, Jerry and Mary, were very helpful during the check-in process and we found the house to be Charming. The bedrooms were all roomie and he beds were large and comfortable. The house offered everything that we needed for our getaway. We lovd the putting course and had challenges between the men and women. We had so much fun enjoying the outdoors in the evenings and mornings and had our breakfasts in the backyard at the picnic table. It was such a treat to enjoy the cooler weather. We would highly recommend this house to others visiting the Prescott area! We walked into downtown Prescott within 10 minutes. It was a nice little walk through historic Prescott. We will definitely stay agai. Thank you Jerry and Mary. Marilyn Thomas

Lovely well maintained older home walking distance to downtown Prescott.

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely older home very well maintained. Just a few blocks from downtown Prescott. We really enjoyed walking downtown to the antique shops and restaurants. Loved Bin 239, the Raven, and the pie place 2 doors down. Beautiful courthouse square. Weather was perfect, low 80's and breezy. We went to a family wedding at Granite Creek Vineyard. Lovely place with good wine.

Great location close to all the downtown events, shopping, and restaurants.

  • 4 of 5

All three bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Updated and well-stocked kitchen met all our needs. Extra lightweight outdoor patio chairs were easy to transport to beautiful front porch area to sit in evening shade. Magnificant environment to rewind and replenish.

Virginia House, a must stay!

  • 5 of 5

I rented the Virginia House for a couple day getaway with my siblings. It was the perfect pick. The house had plenty of rooms, kitchen which met all our needs, and located on a quiet street. We were just blocks away from downtown and able to quickly make our way to shops and restaurants. The house was well-maintained and the owners were quick to respond with instructions. I highly recommend staying and will hopefully do so again!

We had a great stay at this quaint and fully upgraded home.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent the weekend here for the Whiskey Off-Road Mountain Bike race. It was the perfect location as my husband was able to ride to the starting line from the house which was downtown. The house was fully upgraded, it had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully loaded, bedrooms were very comfortable, kids were thrilled they had TV's in their rooms. It was a great place to stay. Will stay there again, thank you!
