This gorgeous high spec 2000 sq ft 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in East Naples has been completely remodeled in 2015/2016 and inspired by Jullian's Interiors of Marco Island. Situated in the exclusive Woodlands development in Kings Lake, Naples, this bright, beautiful Florida home is available for rental. This home is certainly not a typical rental and with high-end designer touches it will appeal to discerning travellers who don't like to compromise on quality and comfort . The Woodlands is the jewel in the crown of Kings Lake. It is a small enclave of individually designed single family homes. Our house is one of 15 in the inner circle of Royal Lane that enclose the private Woodlands.

The house provides well laid out, open plan accommodation for up to 6 people. It boasts marble effect stained concrete flooring, low level lighting, four newly installed skylights in 9ft tunnels with accent lighting, custom built, hand painted shaker style kitchen imported form UK cabinet makers 'Yorkvale kitchens' (completed 2016) with designer pompeii quartz countertops, new high end stainless steel kitchen appliances, enormous 500 sq ft master bedroom suite with Robb and Stucky furnishings, walk in closet, and remodeled bathroom, shower and toilet, large second bedroom with two single beds (can be joined to form a king bed), walk in closet, newly remodeled Jack and Jill bathroom with hand painted cabinetry from UK cabinet makers Yorkvale, cabinet to ceiling mirrors, new bath with shower. There is a sofa bed for additional guests. Outside and accessed from the living area is a newly laid 650 sq ft travertine tiled patio with remote controlled full spectrum in ground mood lighting, outdoor bbq, quality patio furnishings and great views over the back yard. New Florida blue decking and furniture fitted October 2016. Accessed through a small path at the bottom of the yard is a private woodlands for sole use of "The Woodlands" residents with a gorgeous, secluded, private heated swimming pool.

About Steve Callaghan

I stayed in Naples in 2008 when I was undertaking some commercial flight training at Naples Airport. I fell in love with Naples, and in particular, Kings Lake, sold our property in the Auvergne region of France and began looking to buy in Naples, Florida. We waited two years to find a property in the inner circle of the Woodlands (just 15 houses) and in early 2012, after a direct mailshot placed in everyone's mailbox, we finally found what we were looking for. Remodeling began in January 2013 and was completed in 2016.

I live in Manchester, England and am now the MD of a retail company and owner of Flightnews Limited. I also work freelance as a business coach. Marie is a French teacher at a local High School. Dan recently completed his degree at Oxford University and now has a key role in the family business and Charlotte has just completed her English degree at Newcastle University and will soon be taking up a career in Recruitment.

Why Steve Callaghan chose Naples

Finding the right home is difficult. We must have looked at hundreds before we made our minds up and we got to know the property market really well. We chose Kings Lake because we loved the individuality of each house and the wide open spaces between the properties. We specifically chose the Woodlands because it is what it says on the tin: Huge trees and established shrubs and foliage make this a very desirable area. The private access to the actual woodlands directly from the back yard, and the gorgeous tropical pool were a real attraction too.

We have remodeled this property to a high specification. We spent hours trawling through design magazines and enlisted the support of Interior Designer Julie from Julian's Interiors of Marco Island. She gave us some great ideas on how to achieve the effect we wanted. We enjoy open plan living where the kitchen and living area come together. With this in mind we commissioned Yorkvale kitchens in England to design and build a custom, shaker style kitchen that would become the focus of the house. It took us twelve months from design to build, shipping and installation. The kitchen is now in place and with the pompeii quartz countertops, we love what they have created.

What makes this house unique

After years of looking for the ideal home in Naples, I knew when I walked through the back yard into the private Woodlands at the bottom, that I'd found a real gem. There are three and four bedroom homes with a smaller footprint than our house but because our property is two bedrooms, it offers a real sense of open space. The master bedroom suite is enormous. With four in our family, this is just perfect for us. We don't have a pool and that suits us perfectly: When our friends come over with their young children we can feel totally at ease. And the benefit of having a beautiful tropical heated pool just ten strides from the bottom of our yard is just fantastic. Especially since hardly anybody ever uses it!

We've added some great features to give the house some real style: The cathedral ceilings in the lounge now have four skylights in 9ft tunnels to bring the Florida light into the living room. The unique smooth, stained, marble effect concrete flooring helps keep the house cool and is a great design feature too. We've worked hard to create a really nice outdoor space with travertine tiling and in ground remote controlled full spectrum mood lighting. With the patio sliders fully retracted, inside and outside living come together just as we wanted.

This property is exactly as advertised. It is in an establish residential area that is beautiful and close to everything Naples has to offer. It is well equipped and well maintained. The owner's response to any question was almost immediate.

As a visitor, this is a house that you will want to take care of so that you can be invited back. We felt like we lived in Naples and we're not just there for the winter. I highly recommend this house for any amount of time you can stay.

Beautiful Spacious home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Naples and this home was perfect for our trip. Steve was very thoughtful and helpful with great communication before, during and after our stay. The home is even larger than it looked in photos, and includes large walk in closets with plenty of hangers to really feel right at home. We ate just about every meal outside on the lovely lanai, watching wildlife in the yard and enjoying the weather. The pool is literally behind the house with a very a short walk between trees, and although it is a community pool, we had it to ourselves every time. The beach is a short drive, and we had no trouble with parking. Naples 5th Avenue restaurants and shops also very close, and the Publix in basically in the neighborhood with a few restaurants in the shopping center. My husband went for a run everyday with no issues. Overall I'm very happy with our VRBO pick and highly recommend it for your Naples vacation!

We absolutely loved the house ! Great location only 5 min to the beach and old town.

Very nice rental home.

New York

A beautiful respite

My partner and I are both business professionals that live in New York city. Last fall we decided we needed a long weekend to just get away. We found this great property.

The house is completely renovated, it's clean, bright and best of all very quiet. On arrival we sat on the Lanai and enjoy the birds, the trees, flowers and a couple of cocktails. Morning and night each day we enjoyed the community pool and never saw another person. The pool is pristine.

The kitchen at the house is large, bright and well stocked we delighted in cooking and sitting on the Lanai for dinner. There is a grill as well. This is a truly delight for New York city dwellers.

The neighborhood is great for walking, running and cycling. We played golf at 3 different public courses all within 10 minutes drive. Each afternoon we headed to the beach.

This rental property gave us everything we wanted: peace, privacy and quiet while being central to all the things we enjoy about Naples Florida.

You can count on us to be back soon.

Kings Lake is a beautiful part of East Naples and consists predominantly of spacious individually designed, single family homes and a small number of condominiums. The home owners association is very active and the community is beautifully maintained.

There is a private woodlands and pool. This is accessed from the bottom of the garden. There is a private tennis court in the nature preserve, for which our guests will have a set of keys. The nature reserve is accessed via Buckingham Road. This is a short walk from the house. There is also a nature trail located in the nature preserve: A woodchip trail winds through the woods in a pristine area full of birds and wildlife. The nature trail is open daily during daylight hours.
