Prime Location- A Lovely Home !

  • 5 of 5

This property is well-laid out and hospitable. The homemade cinnamon bread upon arrival was an added bonus. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch as we observed the day and Eureka Springs coming to life. We loved the porch swing! A nice selection of DVD's for movie enjoyment was in the living room. This is a great home-base for the eclectic shopping and sights of Eureka Springs! -Ann

Wonderful historic cottage.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in the Cottage on the Hillside. Sharon was a great hostess - welcomed us with fresh flowers, yummy cookies & mints on our pillows. We love old historic homes and this one did not disappoint. That said, there were a few unexpected surprises - re wonderfully updated bathrooms. Huge(!) spa tub and great shower. All the modern conveniences we love, but still full of character. Beds were super comfy, & I could have stayed curled up on the front porch with a good book for days. Very short walk downtown! Sharon - thanks again for sharing your cottage with us. We will be back! Sherry & Bill C.

Lovely cottage steps away from the Trolley and all things Eureks

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully designed cottage downhill from a stone church, the Crescent Spring, and the still operating Carnegie Library. The home was nicely stocked for staying in or for exploring. The owner was welcoming and available.

Her homemade soap was a nice touch providing a quandary between the amazing shower and the soaker tub.

Go, swing on the porch, and have a root beer float. It is amazing.

Due to the nature of the cottage, one of the bedrooms is an enclosed porch. The entrance is through another bedroom. We did a bit of musical bedrooms and it was fine. The porch room is difficult to get cool enough in the heat of July but 6 year kid loved it. The shower bathroom has three doors to a small space and can require walking through the shower to preserve privacy to the bedroom. Small adjustment to make for the rain shower.

The decor included musical instruments that can be touched and played. We took them on the porch and had a great time making "music" and coming up with songs.

And be sure to appreciate the tree!

Lovely. Pack now!

Charming getaway!

  • 4 of 5

I cannot say enough about the owner of Cottage on the Hillside, Sharon. She was quick to respond to my crazy questions, and checked on us to make sure we got in and out of the cottage okay. She was our hostess before we even arrived, and we felt we were treated like royalty. The cottage is on a quieter street away from the crazy downtown area. But, a short walk will get you to that crazy area in no time! Lovely porch with twinkie lights and a porch swing. Ample room for 2 couples with beautifully furnished bedrooms. A third bedroom can accommodate perhaps another family member, but not ideal for a third couple, as it is an addition over the garage, and needs to access the second bedroom to get to the bathroom. It is the one and only reason I did not give this 5 stars. A third couple wouldn't have the privacy needed. BUT Sharon is doing some super duper extra construction on the cottage, so I can't wait to see what it looks like! There is a single car garage, which was a blessing for us since we had three motorcycles. It was perfect, and allowed some shelter for the bikes. To say the touches of this house are created with love and attention, is an understatement! Sharon has carefully decorated each and every room in the cottage. From the beautiful drapes, the rain shower with two-room access, to the frig stocked with the necessities! We were also greeted by a wonderful baked goodie, made just for us! You cannot beat the location and the character of this cottage. And, having a wonderful owner who takes pride in their property, makes it even sweeter. (Did I mention we had mints on our pillows?)
