Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband, sister and I stayed at the Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast to have a location close to York County as well as Lancaster County. Ed and Stephanie were gracious hosts to a family gathering for us for about 25 people. I had not been able to see my family for many years and we filled the B&B with memories and laughter. The food was delicious and the owners daughter is law made some fruit tarts what were simply a work of art. We ate them despite thei beauty!

Clean, Comfortable, Restful

  • 5 of 5

Stephanie and Ed were very kind and very accommodating to our small family and dog. The cabin/apartment has alot of character, with low beamed ceilings in one room, but not an issue for us (only if you are over 6 feet). The bathroom was large, with a great shower and tub, and a variety of body washes and shampoos my teen daughter was thrilled about. The toilet is contained in its own private enclosure, so more people can use the bathroom if needed. The beds were firm and comfortable. We slept so well! Stephanie makes a delicious breakfast ,with local ingredients . Both Stephanie and Ed are very helpful in directing to different sites and activities in Lancaster County and beyond. The Susquehanna River is only 6 miles away. We got to Hershey in 50 minutes.

We would stay here again. They really care about your comfort.

Hershey Visit

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I with our German Shepard stayed at the Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast, and absolutely loved it. We spent 3 nights there while visiting Hershey in the fall for the antique car show. Its about 40 minutes away from Hershey, but well worth the trip. Ed and Stephanie were very friendly, and there home is very clean, and they are pet friendly. Hope to stay there again, thanks Dean.

College Visit

  • 5 of 5

Our hosts Ed & Stephanie were awesome. Our room was perfect for our stay. The information about what to see & do while in Millersville was helpful & the our dinner with the Amish family was a great experience. This was our 1st time staying in a B&B. Thank you Stephanie for the care package of tomatoes to bring back home with us. Would consider staying in the main house if your party has people over 6'. Ceilings low but was perfect for the girls.

AA+ place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place for Millersville Graduation, we even decided to walk to the ceremony rather than fight the traffic. Ed and Stephanie are gracious hosts and exceptional people. The breakfast is all homemade, locally sourced and delicious. The grounds are well maintained, the house is very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to the city, shopping or a trip further out in the country. The rooms are spacious and private. Would definitely stay again.

Owner's Response: As a former employee of MU, and as alumni ourselves, we always delighted to meet current and prospective students and their families. Our space is limited, so we always regret having to turn people away on poplar weekends like graduation at MU. We're glad you had your reservation in early, all the best for your future!
