A perfect property

  • 5 of 5

A very well appointed property - there was nothing I wished it had that wasn't there. A lovely safe enclosed garden, perfect for children and/or dogs. An easy drive from Calais. Would definitely stay again.

A great base for exploring the region

  • 4 of 5

The property is in an excellent location for exploring the surrounding areas. Having stayed in the area on a number of occasions, we feel that this is one of the better properties we have stayed at. The children thorough enjoyed the garden and keeping an eye out for the chickens in the morning (they were hoping to find eggs but never did!) the cottage needs a bit of updating in places but we would certainly stay here again! Alastair gave very clear information about the location etc of the cottage and we were even sent a pack with details about a week before we departed.

I would recommend this cottage to people interested in exploring this beautiful region of France.

A well appointed and very comfortable property

  • 4 of 5

Dear Alastair,

We returned from our holiday at Buigny St Maclaou and just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had .The house was perfect for our needs with plenty of space indoors and out! Abbeville is only a couple of minutes away and we did most of our shopping at Intermarche ;I must say i never realised that there were so many sandy beaches close by and the water is not too deep(ideal for toddlers)we planned so many things ,but spent a lot of the time enjoying the weather and just going to the seaside. We did with the time we had visit the world war sites and did Paris and Euro Disney even though the train was very quick, i personally would have been happy with a glass of wine my favourite book !

See you next year.

The Clarke family.

WW1 Somme trip.

  • 4 of 5

We were a small group requiring a base to explore WW1 sites and this property proved ideal. It's tucked away in a small village but an easy drive to larger towns.

The property is well maintained and with a lovely garden...perfect for relaxing after a 'hard' day ;-) exploring the area.

The owner was very helpful and the rental went smoothly though out.

Overall for what we were after the property met all our requirements, clean, position (for WW1 sites in our case)...a lovely cottage and would stay there again if in area.

PS. Don't forget to request bed linen if not taking your own (normal for France I believe).
