Absolutely fantastic!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful, very well equipped holiday cottage. The owners have done a brilliant job of converting the building and have made sure every need is catered for. They responded to any queries by e-mail almost instantly before we arrived and were very helpful when we were in the cottage. We stayed for my mum's birthday and as a donkey lover she was thrilled to have her own donkeys for the weekend - Cocoa, Jill and Jake who enjoyed lots of apples and carrots and a bit of grooming during our stay. We could not fault this place and hope to return again in the future.

Amazing house and location

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for a long weekend. The house was immaculate with everything we could possibly need. Pat and Chris were so lovely and helpful, and were happy to share their gardens with us. It is in a beautiful location. We would all definitely go back.

Wonderful find!

  • 5 of 5

14 ladies booked into Billy's Bothy for a fantastic hen weekend!

The house is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of space for a group our size. Comfy and spacious bedrooms, each with an ensuite.

The annex room is worth booking if you have a big group (it has a sauna - we didn't use that but it looked good!)

The pictures of the garden don't really do it justice, it's got a patio with garden furniture immediately outside the living room and then a well-kept large lawn. We had a lovely garden party on the lawn on Saturday with lights and scarfs decorating the trees - it looked fab!

On Saturday afternoon we had a craft workshop in the dining room, which worked really well.

We didn't end up using the hot tub just as we had lots planned but also the hot tub isn't right with the house, you have to cross the drive and go into the owners' back garden. Which is fine but it would have been better in the garden of our house as we had a number of pregnant guests who couldn't get in so they could have sat with us in our garden.

Pat and Lee are both very welcoming and helpful with any special requests.

Would very highly recommend this holiday home - we all had an amazing time!

Beautiful House in a Beautiful Area

  • 5 of 5

11 ladies aged between 39 and 53 arrived on a chilly January Friday for a get together to celebrate Sarah's birthday. Billy's Bothy is a lovely house and has everything you would want for a great holiday in a large group including plenty of parking - we brought 8 cars.. The bedrooms are well equipped, each with a great ensuite - the showers are fab - and comfy beds. The sofa beds are comfy too.

The kitchen is full of everything needed to cater for a large group, including plenty of fridge space to fit copious bottles of fizz as well as all the delicious grub we brought for our buffet. It was great to all sit around the dining table and natter away as we ate. The lounge is wonderful. At any one time there were gorgeous ladies draped across the comfy sofas and chairs catching up since we last met. Much fun and laughter was had and Pat and Chris Walker were lovely hosts, ensuring we were warm enough and had all we needed. Sadly, we were all too nesh to use the hot tub but would have definitely done so had it not been a horrible wet windy weekend. Thanks Pat and Chris, we'll be back.

Little piece of heaven in the Peaks

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful barn in beautiful surroundings due to the loving attention to detail from owners Pat and Chris. From the moment we arrived Pat made us feel relaxed and welcome and we were spoilt with a beautifully equipped barn and wonderful gardens and scenery at every turn to stroll in or just sit and relax. Perfectly located for great walks, National Trust visits or a reservoir close by for water sports too. Thanks for a great stay, hope to be back again sometime. Gailx

The ideal place for our reunion!

  • 5 of 5

We were part of a group of 10. Such an attractive property, plus breathtaking views. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, spacious, and very well equipped. The finishing touches made this cottage the delight it is.

If any help was needed, Pat was on hand to help, and nothing was too much trouble. Loved showing our friends the beauty of The Dales.

Would wholeheartedly recommend, - of course, our family and friends now know all about it!
