Spacious and peaceful 1 BR Lakefront Apartment located on the second floor (16 stairway steps) directly above an oversized garage (converted to a two car garage with bonus area) attached to owner occupied single family home; purchased in March 2013 and totally updated in 2013/2014/2015/2016.
Apartment has private front and rear access and is in like new virtually never used condition; ready to call home for a week, a month, a season or more. Our apartment comfortably sleeps four with privacy for two couples (or two or more children).
An additional full bath is located via private interior access to our air conditioned garage along a carpeted runner to both the bathroom and the lakeside outside door. (Ideal for another couple's use should you have guests join you.) A separate full size washer / dryer for the apartment is also located by carpeted runner in the garage.
We provide full linens, towels and a well equipped kitchen, small appliances, iron, hair dryer, ironing board as well.
Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside; however we do have covered outside space for smoking at the apartment entrance at the front of the house, and anywhere else for that matter on our grounds and patio.
Outdoors we provide a patio table and seating for 6; gas grill, zero gravity chairs, beach chairs, row boat, paddle boat, fire pit and dock with cleats for your boat should you decide to bring that along.
Our property is set back from the road with over 200 feet of frontage on Lake Sebring. Our lot is professionally landscaped and maintained. We have a large dock that can accommodate up to a 24 foot boat which you are welcome to bring. (The boat launch is directly across the lake from our house.) Guests that have stayed at our property tell us that it feels like they are staying at a resort!
Our names are Peter and Holly Anderson. We purchased this home in March 2013 (relocated from Fort Lauderdale, FL) and moved in after substantial improvements to the property were completed in October 2013.
Peter owns a web based musical instrument insurance business and Holly is an RN that has worked in emergency rooms in MA, Fort Lauderdale and most recently has worked for the past 5.5 years as a sea going nurse on Holland America ships. Holly has recently returned to Emergency room nursing a local Sebring FL Hospital simply because we missed being home.
We are both natives of Marshfield MA and lived until 2006 in Norwell, MA and Boston MA. We moved to a high rise condo on the Intercostal waterway Fort Lauderdale in the early part of 2006. In early 2013 we decided that condo living was not for us! A home search began in Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) in January 2013 and ended here in Sebring.
We also are fortunate to own another lake home in the mountains of NH where we spend three months in the summer.

We visited Sebring in February 2013 to visit friends in town and decided to meet with a local Realtor as our home search at that point was in full swing. After seeing our home at 112 Karola, we made an offer and bought this lovely home.
The garage and apartment were constructed in 1998 by the prior owners and they lived in the apartment for 4 to 5 years so you will find many amenities and comfortably sized rooms. The apartment is approximately 900 sq ft in size.
The prior owners constructed the attached single family home in 2002/2003.
Our lot is pie shaped and it fans out to about 220 feet on Lake Sebring. There is a great deal of privacy on our lot and it is located in a very peaceful neighborhood. We are ideally located minutes away from Publix, WinDixie and Walmart as well as many shops, big box stores, restaurants and a half dozen popular golf courses.
If you enjoy sunsets, this is the place! The sunsets and colors before, during and after the sunset will amaze you. Don't forget to bring your camera!
What is a unique benefit to staying in our apartment. A picture is worth a 1,000 words! While we also live here on the property, the house and apartment are totally separate and private.
While we do need to traverse the stairway landing to get to the garage (also your access to the apartment) we do so quietly without disturbing your piece and quiet.
Having lived in a condo building with 118 units for the past almost 8 years, we are also very accustomed to see folks around our house and enjoy saying hello to our guests but would never be intrusive or overbearing! We live on the property and happy to be a resource for area information as well as anything that might come up.
If you decide to spend your vacation here, we are confident that you will fall in love with our property just like we have. We have invested for long term ownership. Of all the places we have lived, this is where we plan on staying. We love it here and we hope to share this special place with you too.
I could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay in Sebring while visiting my daughter and family. It was so peaceful & beautiful sitting outside at night listening to the birds & crickets. The apartment was spotless & had everything I needed. Tiffany was an excellent hostess. She answered all my questions and told me to call her anytime for anything. I can't wait to go back. I want to meet Peter and Holly and thank them for letting me stay at their home. The garage apartment was PERFECT!! I will be back. I promise!!

It was a pleasure getting to know them and an even greater priviledge to call them friends. The property is absolutely beautiful, very peaceful and quiet, a wonderful place to vacation, relax and enjoy all of the delights this apartment and grounds has to offer.
The view of Lake Sebring from the apartment is breathtaking, as are the sunsets. The apartment is well stocked with anything you could possible need for your stay.
The apartment is located in a very quiet neighborhood and is only a short distance to restaurants and stores.
We would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning again in the near future.
After discovering Sebring and beautiful Lake Sebring in 2015, Connie and I returned this year. The pictures of this cozy apartment don't do it justice. The weather in April is fabulous, the sunsets over Lake Sebring are spectacular. and south central Florida is ideally located to so many attractions (some well-kept secrets). This apartment is very special, spacious and well-furnished.
One of the best parts of our stay has been to get to know Peter and Holly, our hosts. They make your stay so complete. They are most accommodating and gracious.
We love to bike, and the paved sidewalk around neighboring Lake Jackson is delightful, taking you past impressive lakeside homes and into historic downtown of Sebring.

Jim and I thoroughly enjoyed our seven night stay at your apartment. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable and we had the pleasure of meeting Pete and Holly. . . the owners. The apartment was spotless . . . the kitchen was well equipped . . . plentiful towels and the bed was very comfortable.
The grounds . . . landscaping . . . deck and patio are in pristine condition. The property had everything we needed. It is located in a very quite neighborhood and is close to restaurants and grocery stores. The apartment has a beautiful lake view with amazing sunsets.
The most important thing to me is Pete's warmth and friendliness. His eagerness to assure that everything is perfect for your visit. He is approachable and kind and makes you feel like he is your friendliest next door neighbor.
While this was a "working" vacation for us. . . we did thoroughly enjoy being guests in your apartment. Thank you . . . Pete and Holly . . . for your hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending your beautiful apartment to family and friends who may be staying in the Sebring area.

We are Charlie and Linda from Canton, Ohio. We have rented Peter and Holly's apartment for 3 years in a row. We rent from December 31st until March 15th. It is truly a "little piece of heaven". The apartment and the grounds are immaculately kept. The sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful. Life in Sebring is quiet, comfortable, and stress-free. Peter and Holly are extremely friendly and hospitable. We now consider them two of our dearest friends!
This was the most relaxing vacation that we have had in a long time. The pictures are exactly what you get, the property is very quiet, and we had all the comforts of home while being away from home. The Anderson's are exceptional people, and very caring to make sure you have what you need.

Located on Lake Sebring, Sebring FL in South Central Florida (Sebring Parkway to Scenic Highway) and just minutes away from major stores, restaurants, and shopping. Historic Downtown Sebring and Hammock State Park are located about 10 minutes away. Bok Tower and Gardens and Legoland are less than 40 minutes away. In about an hour or so you can make it to Disney as well as the Atlantic or Gulf coasts. Lake Sebring and Highlands County offers public access to most lakes, swimming, boating, hiking, cycling and water sports. If Golfing is your passion, there are a number of public and semi private golf courses in the immediate area too.
