A Mix Of Historical And New In This 1,876 Sf Single-Level House.

Charming home built in 1929 completely remodeled, enlarged, and decorated in 2015 with all new furniture, appliances , windows, hard scape, and landscaping. This house can accommodate 8 people with the Master Suite, The Queen Room, the Twin Room, and two leather sleeper couches. A large wraparound front patio faces the cul-de-sac while the covered rear patio with new gas bar-b-que gets the southern sun. Plenty of parking (guests need to use the City street passes during weekday work hours which are on site) and virtually no traffic on Wilshire Drive in front of the house. Four flat screens TVs and wireless internet included.

Phoenix's Light Rail is a five-minute walk away and then you can ride downtown to the US Airways Arena, the Chase Bank ballfield, ASU's downtown campus (or event ride to the Tempe campus), northward is the emerging chic and hip Uptown with all its new restaurants. Sky Harbor International Airport is 15 minutes away and the freeway system only five minutes south.

The Wilshire House is smack dab in the middle of Greater Phoenix and accessible to the ballparks, the Phoenix Zoo, Phoenix Botanical Gardens, scores of local golf courses, entertainment venues, and of course Paradise Valley and Scottsdale.

Perfect for business trips with the family, weekend getaways, short term job contracts, or getting away for a long weekend. THERE IS NO GARAGE but plenty of parking in the long driveway and on the street. City passes, which are supplied by owner, for weekday business hours required.

I am an independent real estate broker licensed in both Arizona and California. Why Stanley chose Phoenix

Ever since purchasing The Wilshire House in 1990, I have loved this home. It took 25 years to remodel and enlarge it to its lovely state today. The original portion of the house remains dedicated to its historic heritage while the addition is absolutely contemporary as you will see. Sharing Greater Phoenix and the historic Willo Neighborhood in Central Phoenix is a treat for me and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

What makes this house unique

Walk to the Phoenix Light Rail and go to so many places locally and all over The Valley of the Sun! Being geographically at the very center of Maricopa County and the greater Phoenix Metroplex is a bonus in terms of travel times. Phoenix has a new rent-a bicycle program too with stations nearby! Please take a look at everything that is all around this locale and the convenience of being literally in the heart of the City of Phoenix, too.

See the saved url's for best restaurants, light rail, and the Grid Bike program. There is so much to see and do in Greater Phoenix and The Wilshire House is in the middle of it all - literally!

It would be very difficult to find two more energetic and positive guests to be housed at The Wilshire House. From moment one Nicole and I knew how lucky we were to have the Bertas visit us! Despite the normally terrific winter weather in Phoenix turning colder and wet, these two people simply went about their intended exploration of the metro area and northern Arizona sights with vigor and enthusiasm.

We rely on our guests' suggestions for improving TWH experience and those sent to us by Kathleen were taken to heart and immediately acted upon. Now there are bikes, helmets, and a great big lock for our guests! Having guests like the Bertas makes hosting a genuine pleasure and reminds Nicole and me about having the Golden Rule guide us towards being the best that we can be. Thank you!

Wilshire House is an ideal home for visiting Phoenix. Stanley and Nicole have created an environment that is well appointed, thoughtfully supplied and exactly as described. Our trio of women plan to return for a third stay.

Owner's Response: Linda is always welcome as a returning guest since she and whomever accompanies her are terrific and considerate guests who communicate clearly and promptly and respect the premises. Nicole and I have tried to truly make this a home away from home and I stay in The Wilshire House occasionally when it is not booked (it works best for me during each season but is not always available happily!) so I can experience first hand exactly what the guests will when they stay here. This practice has led to many discussions between Nicole and me compelling us to always tweaking what we hope is best for everyone. It is so satisfying to read the lovely comments from our guests and Linda has become one of our favorites as she is seemingly making an annual trek to Phoenix and to The Wilshire House! Thanks again, Linda, for your kind comments and patronage....

Phoenix at its best

Beautiful home in a fantastic, Old Phoenix neighborhood. We had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and easy. I wouldn't hesitate to book this home again.

Everything we wanted and more

Wilshire House was everything we wanted and more. We were in Phoenix for our daughter's wedding in March and this house was close to the venue and very close to the Fairfield Inn where all of our out of town guests were which was so convenient for us. Nicole and Stanley were wonderful !! Nicole was sweet enough to even lend us a cooler to use when we invited some of the out of towners over for dessert and drinks. The house location is great for walking to the Heard and Art Museums both which are wonderful and are a recommendation for every visitor to see. The house is very clean and looks even better than the pictures. You have everything you need in the cabinets from oil and sugar to every spice you can think of. The house is really a home and makes you feel like you don't want to leave. Nicole, Grace and Stanley are terrific hosts and Stanley was even kind enough to give us recommendations of what to see and go to eat in San Diego where we were headed next. We would highly recommend Wilshire House and hope to come back there when we come back to visit Phoenix again.

High End Stay

The house was exceptionally well appointed with amenities such as kitchen goods, plenty of towels, and toiletry. This was the best house we stayed in with VRBO in the past six years. Stanley is a role model for owners who passionately care about their property and the well being and comfort of their guests. We did not hesitate to call him whenever we needed something, and he was prompt to give us local site seeing advice, etc. It's now obvious why he has numerous 5 star ratings, including mine, which I rarely write unless it's more than deserving.

Owner's Response: Dar and his guests were extremely communicative and generous in that the cable services went down during their stay and rather than complain or be upset, they said they understood that these things happen. Not only that, they worked with me in trying to remediate the problem on their end through me on the phone and even directly with the cable service! Further, they opened the door for the technician and a neighbor when access was needed to correct the matter and did so without hesitation. It was our pleasure to host such wonderful and considerate guests who kept The Wilshire House clean and were respectful of everyone at all times. We can only hope that they choose to return when we can repay them for their consideration as they refused a paid-for dinner or anything to make up for the loss of services for two of their days. Our stay at the Wishire House!

We had such a great stay in Phoenix during our tradeshow event largely because of our pleasant experience staying at the Wilshire House! There were 3 of us and we had everything we needed and Stanley & Nicole made us feel so welcome in their beautiful cozy home. It was close to the downtown convention center where our event took place (under $8 each way on UBER). Super clean and organized and equipped with everything we needed! There were 3 of us and we each had our own comfortable bedroom (TV's in each room as well as the family room). It offers a lot of privacy since you are able to close off rooms (keeping a sitting room private for the master bedroom as well as closing off the family room to the other bedrooms. Great historic neighborhood that's safe and the houses are well maintained. We even met their friendly neighbor! No complaints - all great and we look forward to going back!

Wonderful stay

My friends stayed in the Wilshire House ~ Feb 18 - 21 . They said that it was so comfortable and cozy. They each had their own bedroom. It was perfectly appointed! Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to Phoenix, so I was unable to accompany my friends and stay with them. But they would definitely stay again at Wilshire House. Thank you to Nicole and Stanley, owners.
