Great little place!
Had a great time
Great fall retreat
First time renting during the fall season and enjoyed our weekend even through the rain. The cabin had a lot to keep us busy: games, cards, fishing boat, and kayaks. Appreciated access to all of it. Enjoyed our morning coffee while reading books, relaxing , and taking in the view to the lake below.
Beautiful Michigan Getaway
This is a beautiful and quiet place to get away from the rat race and just relax. The cottage is well maintained, clean and welcoming. LBBC has everything needed for a long weekend or extended stay. Kayaking the lake was very nice and it's an easy lake to paddle. A three day weekend just wasn't enough so a future stay is highly likely. Thanks Hans for sharing LBBC.
Beautiful setting. Crystal clear lake and comfortable cottage
Amazing vacation! The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Be sure whomever is staying with you can handle stairs as there are a lot, but honestly, it adds to the beauty of the place. We vacationed wth myself, my husband, my 5 year old daughter, my sister and my mom. It was a vacation in which we could disconnect from busy and connect with each other. Loved the board games for the evenings and of course the wild life in the morning on the lake is amazinng, especially the pleated woodpeckers and giant Herons. If you don't have an amazing time, it's your own fault!
We had a wonderful week at Little Bear Beach Cottage! The cottage was well-equipped and clean and comfortable. It felt very homey! The kitchen and bathroom are modern and newly renovated. By far the best part of this cottage was the setting! The fire pit and dock and beach were absolutely wonderful! We used the kayaks every day and my daughter fished right off the dock!! The water was clear and beautiful and so serene. We definitely plan on returning to Little Bear Lake!
Thank you to Hans for being accommodating and wonderful to deal with! The Internet access was a bonus as our cell phone reception was almost nonexistent! And from what I understand, very few cottages in the area have Internet so that was fantastic!
Could not ask for more!
Our family stayed at this cottage the week of July 4th. We had the absolute BEST time! The house and the location were perfect! The house had everything you could possibly need for a week's stay. The water was crystal clear and perfect for our children to swim in and kayaking and taking the paddle boat out was great. To top it all off, we also caught a fair amount of decent sized fish which was really fun for all of us as it is the main thing we look forward to when vacationing. This area of Michigan is probably one of our favorite areas we've visited so far. Paul's Pub in Johannesburg was great and we also enjoyed visiting Gaylord and Lewiston for shopping and dining. All in all, we loved this vacation and wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back soon. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely beach cottage with us. We had a great time!
or the kids: In Lewiston (~20 min away) there is Smitty's Place Family Fun Center. There they have Putt-putt golf, go-karts, pool tables, arcade games, and air hockey. Plus they serve ice cream and pizza.
For the adults: Also in Lewiston, there is snowmobile and jet ski rental available. They will deliver and pickup rentals right from the cottage!! Click here for more info. Also, take the family over to J & B's for a great atmosphere and an awesome dinner!
Of course, Gaylord is known as the Golf Mecca of the Midwest. With over a 100 course offerings, discover all that the north has to offer. Click here for more!
