We admired this property for many years when we lived on the main street in the village.
What makes this Cottage unique
One of the best locations available to rent in the area. Quiet and yet within walking distance of the supermarket and pub. Incredible views to the front and countryside walks on the doorstep.

Lovely spot, very quiet and convenient for the coast
Very pleasant stay and very helpful owner who sorted a broken washing machine super-fast.
Everything we were looking for
My family and I (six of us) thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Wintons. The cottage is very comfortable and offers everything we were looking for. It is set in beautifully-kept grounds, in a quiet country lane and within walking distance of a couple of pubs and a supermarket.
The owner, Sarah, was both friendly and welcoming and recommended a lovely country walk which enabled us to admire a beautiful display of bluebells.
Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.
So pleased you enjoyed your break and got to see the wonderful bluebell display in the field behind the cottage. We would love to see you again.
Loved our stay in the cottage. The location is fantastic and a wonderful base for days out with the family. The cottage is so tastefully decorated and very comfortable! We would love to come back!
Thanks so much for your lovely review. As you say, the cottage is well located for exploring the area being on the Kent/Sussex border.
A lovely stay - highly recommended
Many thanks for a great week - we really enjoyed ourselves and the house was extremely comfortable with everything we needed.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the local area
Lovely place for two couples to enjoy a weekend away. Sarah is a great host and left the keys in the lock for us as were arriving late in the evening. She also gave us a late check out on our last day which was great. Overall a brilliant experience and thanks you Sarah, will definitely recommend to our friends.
Thank you for such a lovely review James.
It's a great time of year to visit the area- less busy, a bit of sunshine if you're lucky and the bluebells in a couple of weeks.
Attractive barn conversion, comfortable stay for small group
We were a group of four girls staying for a weekend break from the city. Wintons Cottage is set in vast, beautifully kept grounds in a very peaceful location on a quiet country lane. It was great to be able to go for walks, visiting the local pubs, and cozy up in front of the fire, while also being close enough to Rye to experience the delights of the town. Sarah was very friendly and welcoming and easy to keep in touch with from the moment we booked. We would definitely recommend a visit!
Thanks for your great review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and managed to stay cozy.
