Beautiful cottage in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Location is perfect... right on the water and private with a short drive to town, wineries, breweries, Watkins Glen, etc. Cottage was cute and well maintained. As other reviewers mentioned the steps getting to the cottage are not for the faint of heart although they are well worth it as the cottage is right on the water. We will be back!

Only wish we had more than one night to enjoy this fantastic gem. The property is secluded and right on the water as pictured. Was close to the local attractions we were most interested in. The owner(s) were great to work with and responded to my large volume of questions in a very timely manner... provided very helpful information. ;)

The only cautionary note is that if you have an extra large vehicle and/or are not capable of managing about 40+ relatively steep steps to access the cottage, have a conversation with the owner about it prior to booking. Again, she was very helpful and great to work with!

Sparked memories

  • 4 of 5

It was so relaxing sitting on the deck to view the sunset, stars and water. Ducks and neighbors dogs stopped by to visit. The stairway down isn't for the faint of heart as it is steep but so worth the trip. We loved the cottage layout for two couples. We were not able to get on the cottage wifi but please note the owners were on vacation and we chose not to call the emergency number. We used our cell service when needed. Wish the aforementioned paddle boat had still been there as it would have been fun and offered a different lake view. We learned a lot about what to bring when renting... A new experience for us. A cheat sheet would be helpful! Walmart was close by. Local wineries, state park and kayaking were great day trips. Thank you for sharing your cottage. We were more relaxed than we have been for a long time. Reminded me of my grandparent's place in Adirondacks as a child.

It was very clean and inviting.

David and Stacy were very easy to work with. The location was perfect for getting to Watkins Glen, many wineries and our friends who own a cottage up the road. It worked out perfectly for our son and his family to stay with us and another family. Plenty of room inside and outside.

Wonderful week!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect lake cottage for our family! It was nicely situated on Seneca Lake, close to town and wineries. The cottage was clean with many updated features. Our young grandsons had a great time fishing, and actually caught a couple of fish, from the dock. David and Stacy were gracious hosts and I would recommend them to my family and friends! Definitely will go back!

Great cottage right on the water!

  • 5 of 5

After driving down the rustic drive and passing at least 25 wineries we arrived at the cottage. There is ample parking for 4+ cars, as we had friends down and run out of room. There are 42 very sturdy stairs from the parking lot down to the cottage (my 60 yo father counted twice!) But they are easily navigated. We brought down two full size sea kayaks with no problem. The cottage is literally on the water, so nice! There is a great porch, a dock, and a concrete platform at the end in the water. Inside the cottage is newly renovated so everything is in working order. The sunsets are amazing, as you are on the east side of the lake. Plenty of counter space for cooking and a great bar counter for serving. Watching the storms come over the lake was spectacular. All in all a great cottage, and the owners were very responsive through texting and phones if needed. A+
