It is an older camp ... In need of outward touch ups..there was masking tape on steps for extra support ...as a patch up job
The. beds were very soft..sunk in the middle
Upstairs bedroom had musty smell
Had sewage problem on second day ... Whole camp
Was smelling very badly .. maintenance came
That afternoon and pored chlorox down toilets and drains .. As a quick fix ...Smell improved ..sewage people came the next day .. To fix problem .. The half bath kept running after flushing .. So we stopped using it .
Had to request more basic cooking utensils .. Like bowls and frying pan .. Was brought to us when
Maintenance came over ...(kitchen wa poorly stocked w basic cooking utensils...)
There was no wifi which was a big disappointment
With what was paid for this camp.. Did not feel I got my money's worth ...
Great view , good access to beach and large ,
If these problems would be addressed , I would
Reccommend to any body ..
Everything was great, one thing I would definitely recommend is looking into the refrigerator. It takes DAYS for it to cook food off, this year and the year before we have had to put milk in an ice chest for the first 2 days because of it pretty much being room temperature. Milk along with other things.
Other than that everything was great! Can't wait until next year!
Three girlfirends and myself stayed here in the fall 2013 prior to being listed on homeaway. The house was fantastic! The only items not present were a wine opener and glasses for wine, but easily obtained at local grocery. The home is comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The walk to the beach is a little of a hike, but that is because the beach has grown over the last few years. The camp is easily accessible to restaurants, grocery store, and beach. Having grown up on the island, I would recommend this to anyone. I only wish they accepted well behaved dogs, but can understand why they don't.
