About Jenn Brown
Sean and I are currently residing in Falls Church, Virginia. We both enjoy the outdoors, running, yoga, and classic rock (Maybe Sean more than me).
Jenn Brown purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Jenn Brown chose Wilber
My husband is from the area, in fact his parents live right around the corner. We always said we'd move up here once he retired from the Navy, and when this little gem came on the market we jumped on it. We've still got some time before we are able to call Big Island Lake our home, until then we are happy to share The Little Red Cabin with those who are up for a little adventure, relaxation, and wonder. Enjoy!
What makes this Cabin unique
The Little Red Cabin is not only rustically cute and perfectly located on a beautiful lake, it also has an interesting history. The cabin is almost 100 years old and originally served as the local trading post run by Native Americans during hunting seasons. It was later used as a private, one room hunting cabin. Then in the 1970's was made into a vacation location with an extended porch, bedroom, and indoor plumbing of course. This cabin has been through a lot of changes over the years, but one thing has stayed the same. It's always been painted bright red!

We had a great time at the cabin, spent most of our time outside. The sunsets were beautiful and our dogs had fun in the lake.
My husband proposed to me when we stayed at this cabin last September. We came back for our honeymoon because this cabin is lovely. The view is breathtaking and the owners are wonderful. Our honeymoon was cut short by an emergency but we hope to return soon! This cabin is incredible!
Super cute and charming
My husband and I have never been on vacation without our 3 children ages 19,17&14. Well we decided it was time. The Little Red Cottage was perfect so quiet and the views are gorgeous. We have already said we will becoming back again .
Cute and cozy, exceptional view! Cabin is a bit difficult to find if you drive too fast!
Though it rained most of the week, it was the perfect honeymoon retreat. The view was breathtaking, it was relatively close to town and the loons added a nice touch to the romantic sunset and fire.... loved reading the story of how the cabin began and all the stories and maps of the lake visitors wrote. Absolutely wonderful! I hope we can return for our anniversary.
Little Red Cabin
The Little Red Cabin is very rustic - but cute. We enjoyed the sunsets and the lake was great for fishing and swimming. At first not having any television bothered us but we can to find that it was nice not to have it. We read and played games and recharged.
Great place for getting away.
Our visit to the Little Red Cabin was fantastic. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with. The cabin is well maintained and stocked with many miscellaneous items that were very helpful. In addition, there was a lot of equipment to use down by the water. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, kayaking, the sunsets and letting the dog swim. We hope to return to the cabin again.
Lumberman's Monument and Iargo Springs are a must see!
