Quite and Peaceful
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and looks very nice. We would definitely rent again.
Perfect location for day hikers.
This property was clean and comfortable. It has all of the amenities you will need for your stay. The washer and dryer came in handy after hiking the muddy local trails. The screened in porch was a great place to hang out in the evening. The Flat Top trail is marked well and allows for some great day hiking.
If you are looking for a quiet property, this would not be your best choice. I did stay over Memorial Day Weekend, so there may have been more traffic than normal. However, there was a constant flow of diesel trucks up and down the road to go to the falls and the camp ground. The traffic did not bother me, and I had a very comfortable stay here.
Great place to stay. Owner super nice and very helpful. Will stay there again.
Beautiful home with everything you need in a beautiful, serene location. Enjoyed morning coffee of screened in porch waking up with the sounds of the mountains and roaring creek across street. Besides working and playing on our property 8 miles away (our future farm) we hiked, biked and fished. We visited beautiful Claytor lake, went up the road to the gorgeous falls and hiked a bit up on the trails. Big Walker Market a few miles up the road makes the absolutely most delicious sandwiches; run by the local Amish. Great little market. We could not have been more happier with our stay. Our few question were replied to quickly and efficiently. Again, beautiful home with everything you need. Can't wait to come back!
A wonderful place
We spent Memorial Day weekend in Bland VA. The place was meticulous, comfortable and much larger than we had expected. It’s walking distance to Dismal Falls, and the Appalachian trail
Super Friendly Hosts
Great place in a fantastic location. Close to falls and hiking. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Bo and the goats were wonderful additions that helped make it he trip memorable.
The property consists of approx. 2.5 acres adjoining the Jefferson National Forest in the rear and Dismal Creek (a Virginia fisheries stocked trout stream) in the front.
