About Pat Wilmsen

My family has been coming to Mt Gretna for years to enjoy all it has to offer. My father and his family are from the Hershey area and tell wonderful stories of the "old days" in Mt Gretna

Pat Wilmsen purchased this house in 2015

Why Pat Wilmsen chose Mount Gretna Heights

It has so much potential but was so neglected. We knew it had good bones and loved the porch, so we took on the project to remodel it and give it's charm back. It was a huge project but one we took on with gusto and love.

Perfect get away

We really enjoyed our stay at the Story Book Cottage. Very quaint location, charming house, clean and well kept. Local resturants offered good food and great service. We will definitely be returning in the future if the need ever arises.

Charming and memorable!

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed the cottage and found it clean, neat, and in good repair. It was a little smaller than I imagined from the pics but we found we enjoyed the experience living there. The bike trail was close by, which we used and enjoyed the fall colors along the roads.

A very quiet and peaceful community. The people are very friendly. The cottage is very Clean and cozy. We spent allot of time on the front porch talking and having dinners. The story book theme is cute and if you look closely you'll find a story everywhere. My wife was impressed with the fairy garden out front. One of the best get always ever. We highly recommend staying here if visiting in the Mount Gretna area. You won't be disappointed.

Cosy, clean and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this clean, cozy, well-supplied cottage. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the 2nd floor. It's definitely not roomy, but was fine for we three retired ladies. We liked sitting on the porch relaxing and watching birds and squirrels. It's situated in a quaint neighborhood where the homes are close together but yet fairly private and surrounded by nature. The only cons were that while it is a very short walk from the parking lot to the cottage, it is a gentle uphill slope and a little difficult if you're physically limited; and also, I was unable to connect with WiFi at all (though I didn't really miss it much - it was sort of freeing!). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Story Book Cottage.
