Fairways at Mauna Lani

The Fairways at Mauna Lani is an exclusive gated community located on the beautiful Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. The quiet 20 acre grounds are located along the 4th and 12th holes of the world renown Francis H. Brown North Golf Course. The Fairways is centrally located in the Mauna Lani Resort, just a short walk away from the Shops at Mauna Lani, which include Foodland grocery store, Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, and many other shops and galleries. It is also just a short stroll to Fairmont Orchid Hotel and its incredible open access beach with great swimming and snorkeling!

The amenities of the Fairways at Mauna Lani include a beautiful large pool, feed by lava rock waterfalls with hot tub and Koi Ponds, exercise room, large common BBQ area and clubhouse. Private access to the exclusive Mauna Lani Beach Club and Restaurant is also included. This beach club offers world class snorkeling within the resort as well as hiking trails along the ocean that connect to the Fairmont Orchid and other world class hotels and beaches.

Located at the Fairways complex in the Mauna Lani Resort, this beautiful 3 bedroom / 2 ½ bath townhome will complete your Hawaiian Vacation Experience

From the moment you and your guests enter this private retreat, you will be amazed by the location and amenities this exceptional home has to offer. Step into a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, modern appliances, utensils and all the small appliances you would need to create your dream meals. Or if you prefer to BBQ your fresh catch or island grown grass fed beef, don’t worry about searching for the grill somewhere on property because we have a gas grill right here on the lanai in your personal outdoor kitchen.

Relax in comfort watching movies with the DVD player on the large flat screen TV, or listening to music on the CD player. When your meal is over, lift off the top of the dining room table and it easily converts to a card/gaming table.

Your large Master Suite is located on the main floor and includes a King Size bed. Open the sliding doors and enjoy your morning coffee on the private lanai. Within the Master Suite is the luxurious Master Bathroom, your private tropical oasis. This ceramic tiled area consists of separate walk-in shower, large Jacuzzi tub, granite counter tops and a walk-in closet.

On the privately located second floor, there are two additional guest bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the other with a Queen size bed. For the convenience of your guests, there is also a full bathroom located upstairs. In addition, this home includes a front-loading washer and dryer which are efficiently located in a separate room just off the kitchen, while a half bath(powder room) is conveniently located off the hall on the first floor.

Also included for the enjoyment of our guests are two bicycles to explore the resort with, and a collection of beach and surf equipment to make you Hawaiian vacation complete.

Beautiful home and a beautiful setting

Beautiful home and a beautiful pool veiw patio. The private beach club is worth it! Full kitchen set up pots pans and lots more. Management was just a phone call away. Oh and first night was easy to get right in.

Beautiful area!!

Just a beautiful area to stay. The condo was very nice and very well looked after. Very nice supply of condiments in the cupboard. After a morning at the beach, our kids loved coming back to go to the pool, which is just a short walk. Lots of things and places to explore on the island.

This condo was fabulous! My two kids and I stayed here for a week. It was the perfect fit for us...very roomy, well maintained, and excellent location for access to beaches and shopping/dining. The pool and the private beach club were definite favorites...we usually started our day or ended the evening at one or the other. Definitely a home-away-from-home feel. We highly recommend this condo!

Lovely condo, great location

This is a well appointed, spacious condo on an inner circle of the Fairways community in Mauna Lani. There is no view and once inside it's hard to tell where in the world you are. The big pool and hot tub are very close (kiddie pool as well). We could walk to the shops which included restaurants (10 minutes) and a nice grocery store and we could also walk to the Fairmont which had a giant pool and nice beach. Access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club is included- this was a sweet little beach with some snorkeling options (although it was windy with cloudy water the way we went). There is a nice looking restaurant for lunch/dinner but reservations are recommended and with the white table clothes, it didn't seem like a place to go in your sandy swimsuit. If you want to use the beach/pool at Mauna Lani proper they don't want you to park at the hotel and ask you to use the "public access" parking lot which is a long long way from the beach. It would be easier, I think, to park at the beach club and walk along the shore to the Mauna Lani. This location was less than 30 minutes from the airport and fairly close to the shops/beach at Hapuna.

Great home base & everything we needed for our group.

We were a group on 4 adults, a 5 year old and a 15 mo old and this property was a great place for our needs. Good number of bedrooms, we had our family of 4 upstairs in two bedrooms and the couple downstairs in the master bedroom. Kitchen was nice, modern, and well stocked with cooking equipment. Nice grill outside also. Basic spice and seasoning was present, although not sure if this is on purpose or just items carried over from other tenants.

Either way, what was not there we were able to purchase at the Foodland grocery store just down the street. Prices at that store are on the upper end of reasonable, and they are often out of at least one item you are looking for, but it was so close it more than made up for it. We made one trip to a larger grocery store in Waimea, which was a 13 mile ( 30 minute ) drive and was more similar to a larger mainland grocery store.

Property access to pool & spa was nice, although we did not spend much time there as we were so close to the BEST beaches on the island (e.g. Hapuna - 10 minute drive!).

Amenities of note: good air conditioning, TV with smart dvd player with access to Netflix, which was good for our kiddos. Laundry facilities were great. Beach toys were well used, both for the kids and adults. Boogie boards were used every day we were at the beach and we actually inherited a pair of boogie boards from some fellow beach goers and left them at the property - paying it forward :)

Restaurants were easy to get to. Had great experiences with Tommy Bahama and a local place called CanoeHouse. Our waiter here was awesome, to the point that he actually brought our 5 year old fresh aloe vera plant clippings for her sunburnt face along with a container to take home the extra for future use! Think his name was Jeremy.

Check In and Out procedures were easy. No issues here at all so will definitely consider for our next trip to the Big Island!
