I am a retired home designer/builder who loves to share. I once owned a magnificent houseboat on Lake Powell that I designed and shared with friends and family. I named the boat Amnesia with the goal of making my guest forget about everything besides the natural beauty of the lake! I have named my home in Prescott Amnesia 2 for the same reasons. The original cabin was built in 1952 and was added onto by several owners that followed. I bought the home and did a complete makeover that simply makes it the best vacation rental in Prescott. I have honored the sacred land and the heart of the original owner. The ceiling is the original roof.
I have built hundreds of homes in Arizona and have never found a setting as awesome as this! It is a sacred place without question.
Only 2.5 miles from the city square. There is ZERO traffic and complete privacy. The only sounds you will hear are the birds and crickets laughing at you as you run around naked.
We think that Amnesia Two was very very nice. Most impressed with how clean and well thought out it was. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen easy to cook in. The fenced back yard , landscaped with Arizona boulders was so pleasant to sit in, we were really happy to have stayed , and will return.
Diana, the owner, was nice to talk to, very pleasant.
Our first time visit to Prescott was made even better by being able to stay in this amazing home!
The property was even better than what was shown on the website - if that is even possible!
Diana was a pleasure to communicate with and the home was spotless clean.
We so enjoyed the outdoor living space with all of the attention to detail, and the huge great room with the pool table kept us entertained for many hours :)
What a treat!
We spent a week at this outstanding home in the foothills of Prescott. It could not of been better. We sat in the front room and saw deer stroll past the windows, rabbits and birds playing in the back yard. The house was comfortable and met all of our needs. All of our communication with Diana was responded to immediately. The most notable experience was the total quietness and serenity of the property. We will recommend this home with all of our friends.
This home was extremely peaceful and private. We did not want to be in town and have to listen to the cars at night yet it's still close. It is decorated so nicely. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The beds were amazing to sleep on. So much so that now my husband is demanding a new bed at our home. The driveway had plenty of room for our huge truck and jeep . There was no problem driving on the short dirt road at all. Maybe leave your lowered race car at home. Seriously not an issue as another reviewer stated it was. We rent several homes per year and this is one that we hope to stay at again. It was so nice, my family didn't want to leave. Booking with Diana was a breeze. She made it all so easy. Thanks so Much!
The house was clean, backyard was awesome and the overall environment was perfect. We really enjoyed this house and its location. The owner was very responsive to emails (wifi code) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely stay here again!
We celebrated Christmas here with our two adult children. What a wonderful experience! The home is beautiful with awesome views! We enjoyed hiking in the area and coming back here to relax. The pool table was an added bonus! We would definitely recommend that if you are coming to the Prescott area you consider staying here.
