Welcome to your home on the water, where you can relax, de-stress, and have fun. This lovely, updated home is located on a quiet cove with private dock and good water depth: Go out on the river, drop a line off the dock, watch heron fish and osprey soar, enjoy stunning views of a beautiful sunset while relaxing by the fire, or just nap on the hammock. It’s all here for you.
This riverfront hideaway has everything you need to feel comfortably at home and blissfully away at the same time: sit-on-top Ocean kayaks, Old Town canoe, fishing poles, horseshoes and corn hole, badminton, a screened gazebo with beautiful views, Weber gas grill for barbecues, and a fire pit ringed with stones and Adirondack chairs. You can swim or paddle from our kid-friendly sandy shore on the protected calm waters of our cove, or head out on the Little Wicomico River to explore the nearby inlets. Bring your own boat or Jet Ski to go out on the Chesapeake Bay, less than 15 minutes away by boat, and moor on our new dock.

After years of relocations in the Marine Corps, our family settled in Northern Virginia and discovered the wonders of the Northern Neck. We realized we wanted a getaway destination close enough for regular use so we could make the most of our remaining time with our two teenagers before they go off to college.
Lisa Diaz purchased this house in 2014
We fell in love with Reedville after visiting friends there for a 4th of July celebration. This charming community has so much to offer, from local history to nature-filled activities. We are so thankful to call this place our home and know you will also love it. This quiet neighborhood is the ideal place to get away from it all for family reunions and romantic getaways.
The photos of stunning waterfront views speak for themselves! These sunsets are priceless. The sloping beach and gradual water depth are great for kids and pets. What a treat to launch kayaks and a canoe from your own pier!
This house was very quaint and all the beds very comfortable. The view was absolutely gorgeous watching the sunrise and sunset and had lots of fun things to do. The house is a little difficult to get to if your GPS takes you left around the circle instead of right but it's easily solved. A great getaway location!
We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was clean, well stocked and in close proximity to all the things we planned to see and do. The sunrise and sunset at Slice O' Heaven are breathtaking. This is certainly a vacation home that we'll return to in the future.
We had a great time swimming and fishing off the dock! Place was peaceful and quiet. Love the open room to visit and enjoy the view! Very happy that linens and towels were provided!
We so love this house on the water! The location is perfect for fishing and boating. It's a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. It really is a "Slice O' Heaven" !!
Some of the photos don't do it justice. It's a super property with tasteful furniture and fittings located in a quiet spot on the Eastern Shore. Lisa has excellent communications with us and was there if we needed anything. There is space for 8 with ease here, but only the one shower - but 2 WCs. The views are amazing and sunsets to die for. Quiet, tranquil and just right to unwind. The canoes are super and 4 can paddle at any one stage (2 individual plus 2 in a larger canoe). We probably should have bought our own bikes just to mooch about the local area.
There are a few grocery stores locally and a Walmart within 12 miles, so all the grocery shopping is easy.
Wifi here is excellent and I got AT&T coverage in and outside the house so kids were happy.
All in all, a super place and deservedly awarded 5 stars.
We decided last minute to go away for a few days and found this house was available on the Northern Neck. Having never explored this area of VA before, we decided to give it a shot! The owner, Lisa, was very responsive after my initial inquiry and within a few minutes, we were booked. The house has great water views and is situated on a wooded lot, so plenty of shade when you need it. The decorations are super cute, beds comfortable and kitchen/bathrooms well-stocked with the basics. Unfortunately, the hot weather brought in the jellyfish, so we weren't able to swim, but our 3 kids made great use of the kayaks and canoe that were available, as well as fishing and crabbing off the dock. We bought a crab trap (which is now there for future guests!) and caught over 3 dozen crabs, which were the best we've ever eaten! We hope to go back sometime in the fall when it's a bit cooler and can take advantage of the outdoor fire pit. I would highly recommend this house and location - we had a great time!
