Self Catering Apartment - Sleeps 4 + infant with Sea & Mountain View

Modern two bedroom self catering apartment in a complex named Valparaiso just a 5min walk to Burriana beach with communal pool and gardens. Further modernised with the installation of a Fully Functional Kitchen, Replacement Bathroom & Fitted Bedroom Wardrobes, Air Conditioning and in October 2014 a Replacement Tiled Floor throughout, finally all of the Windows and Patio Doors as well as the Outside Tiles on the Balcony / Terrace were replaced in March 2017 which altogether has enhanced this desirable property. It has one double bedroom with doors to sun terrace and one bedroom with twin beds (can be pushed together to create another Double Queen Size Bed) and also benefits from a good sized sofa bed in the lounge (with a separate pull out sofa bed) and a separate settee. The Large terrace has 4 sunbeds and table with seating for 4. The terrace can also be part shaded with an over head awning and enjoys tremendous 180deg views of the sea, mountains and surrounding area. The bathroom has a bath with shower, sink unit surrounded by a granite top with cupboards underneath and a toilet. There is also allocated underground parking, although due to the quiet location this is not generally needed. The apartment is on the second (top) floor, hence the views and is serviced by a lift and security entry phone system which also makes it ideal for the disabled, and young families with buggies.

  • A new Bathroom was installed in November 2012 with Bath / Shower, Toilet, Sink with Granite Top and plenty of cupboard space for toiletries etc. The window in the bathroom was also changed which allows it to be locked, open or slightly open when tilted.

The 2nd Bedroom has 2 single beds which can also be pushed together to create a Queen Sized Bed. A cot is available on request and 2 Sofa beds are available in the lounge.

Fantastic apartment in a great location

This was our fourth visit to this excellent apartment and it has been very clean and comfortable every time. It comes with everything we could possibly need, including a very well equipped kitchen with all the cooking equipment that we could need (but why cook while on holiday when there are a variety of bars and restaurants nearby!!). The air conditioning was greatly appreciated in the hot weather. We particularly like the apartment balcony as we can enjoy the late afternoon sun well into the evening. The apartment has a lovely pool area and is a perfect base for exploring Nerja. There is a lot going on down at Burriana Beach (local beach) only a few minutes’ walk away, where you will find a mass of activities including pedalos, bikes and canoes for hire, parks, as well as climbing frames for the children. Nerja Old Town is about a 15/20 minute walk away where you will find some excellent shops, bars and restaurants.

We would highly recommend this apartment and in fact we are returning in December this year.

Beautiful review, helpful hosts

My sister and I saw this property and were instantly shocked at how beautiful it looked for its reasonable price. We booked it, and had email communication with Sandra, then received a welcome pack via email with details of everything about the apartment, and around the area too.

We had the best, most relaxing trip. A five minute walk from the beach, and about 15 minutes from Balcon de Europa. We were fortunate to have great weather, but even when it did rain one morning, we found drawers full of books to keep us occupied. The balcony was perfect and caught the sun all day long. Views to the sea were beautiful too.

One thing that wasn't made clear, is the fact that it is down a steep hill from the main road, and you have to go up a steep hill to get to the main time. So just be aware if you have difficulty walking it may be an issue.

Aside from that, we had a wonderful time, and will definitely be enquiring if it's free next time we go to nerja!

Perfect for families and couples

Wow, what can I say. This apartment is a home away from home and has everything you would want from an apartment in terms of facilities, modern decor and location. The photos do not show how big this property actually is. Being our first visit, on arrival we had a few queries regarding the property and local area and the English speaking property managers were so helpful and accommodating despite it being a bank holiday!

This property is situated in a fantastic location being at most a 3/4 walk from the supermarket, souvenir shops, restaurants, bars and Burriana Beach (local beach) which has masses of activities including canoe hire, pedello hire, bike hire, parks and climbing frames for children. Definite musts when you visit is Nerja town that is within a 20 min walk from the apartment is especially amazing to see when the suns setting over Balcon De Europa, Frigiliana (30 min drive from apartment) which is an old village that has beautiful pottery and souvenirs, Nerja caves, the water park, mountain quad bikes and a personal favourite of mine walking down to Burriana beach early morning when the fisherman come back in. We stayed for 1 week but wish we had stayed longer and are planning our next visit. Look no further if you are planning your next holiday, honestly you will not be disappointed!

A Very Fine Apartment in Nerja

We have rented this apartment for the past six years and have already booked it for next year! We would consider it to be one of the finest two-bedroom apartments in Nerja, with a spacious south-facing balcony capturing day-long sunshine and splendid elevated views of the Mediterranean and surrounding hillsides. Attractively decorated and recently refurbished, with fine bathroom and kitchen facilities and a very effective air conditioning/heating system, it is a most comfortable space in which to spend a holiday of any length. The apartment is located only a few hundred metres from the fine Burriana beach which has several good restaurants. Nerja town centre is a relatively short walk away. On the basis of our own very pleasant experience over several years, we would highly recommend this delightful apartment.

Fantastic location, great apartment

Having visited Nerja on many occasions, we decided to stay at Sands, near to Burriana beach, to get the best of both worlds - near to the lovely beach and within 5 minutes of Nerja centre. We were delighted with the apartment which is bigger than it looks on the website photos, and particularly the large sun terrace which was unexpected, and provided super views of the Spanish villas with their beautiful Bouganvillea, and of the sea. We felt that the apartment was a home from home as it has been modernised and furnished to a high standard, particularly in the kitchen. The pool was great for our children, and in quiet surroundings. We'd definitely go back.

Nerja lies on the eastern most tip of the Costa Del Sol where the mountains meet the sea. Once a sleepy fishing village, Nerja has retained its Andalucian character, particularly in the old quarter with its narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. The tradition is set to remain thanks to enforced restrictions on development of the town. At the heart of the town is the Balcon de Europa, a palm tree lined promenade built along the edge of a cliff and out to sea with panoramic views of the Mediterranean and Nerja's nine sandy beaches stretching to over 16 kilometres in total. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, many retaining their typical Andalucian charm, plus of course a great variety of international cuisine on offer. Shopping is plentiful and there is a local market every Tuesday.

All major water sports are catered for. Golf is available nearby as are many other sports. There are endless walks as well as the famous Nerja Caves.

Other Activities: Skiing is available in the Winter about 45 minutes away in the mountains.
