Even though we are not located in the center of town guests and residence of Malibu enjoy exclusive VIP beach access through the new Malibu Lounge and Beach Club prime location on San Juan Bay.
Our brand new homes are high-end, standalone 2 story residence with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, sleeper sofa, an infinity pool, 3 decks, high ceilings, dramatic Pacific Ocean views and the convenience of being in close proximity to San Juan del Sur.
Amazing sunsets and warm water make this beach a MUST SEE destination. There are so many things to do should you choose to be adventurous: horse back riding, zip lining, repelling, volcanos, canopy tours, shopping in Rivas, etc.

If you are looking for a bare bone economy lodging, this home is NOT for you. However, if you want state of the art accommodations, luxury amenities and comfort, with an ideal location, you found the right place. This is a newly constructed home, just completed with generous deck space taking advantage of the ocean and mountain views. The home is air conditioned throughout. Maid service available for $25/day. On site staff transportation available into/from town for a nominal fee. Only minutes away from town.

There are three bedrooms. On the main level is a bedroom with a queen size bed and attached full bathroom. The second floor has a bedroom with two twin beds and a private bathroom, and the master bedroom has a king size bed with a private bathroom which has a stand alone tub as well as a walk in shower. There is also a room bedroom near the pool area that can sleep one or two. Accommodates 10 people.
There is a dining room that seats 6 people. There is a large "L" shaped sofa in the family room, and a love seat in the living area. The kitchen has a bar top that accommodates 4 people. The ocean views are visible throughout the house.
There are 2 expansive outdoor decks with generous seating and lounging to take advantage of the spectacular views.
MAXIMUM LIMIT OF 10 IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.
We also have additional sister properties that accommodates 8 people, three bedrooms and a pull out sofa. Same view, furnishings and amenities. Max occupancy of 8 on this sister property only!
This larger version Malibu home, located on the corner lot has a bigger infinity pool, with a shallow sun deck in pool, and a hot tub, and gym. This unique home has a bar instead of a second living room which is great for entertaining. Housekeeper included. Please inquire for photos and more info. Rate: $995.00 per nite.
Lance Rader is the developer of this new property in San Juan Del Sur. He is a custom home builder from the United States and has built over 1,000 homes in Nicaragua over the last few years He fell in love with San Juan Del Sur and decided to build his own vacation home there in Pacific Marlin, thus Malibu was created. Lance and his wife Robyn own and manage several homes in Malibu.

Highly recommend staying here. Be sure to rent a car to explore the coast. Lovely infinity pool. Well maintained. San Juan del Sur is 5 minute drive to funky bars and restaurants. Lots of surfing options and zip lining. We loved loved loved it!
Overall a lovely home. I would recommend a four wheel drive to access the property as the roads are quite rough. Very little is within walking distance. I would also recommend arriving during daylight as it was a little difficult to find. Staff were wonderful. The house was not very well stocked in comparison to many homes we have stayed at. Kitchen had very limited dishes/pots/pans, very few towels, no books or games, basics (dish soap, shampoo, paper towel, trash bags, water, etc.) not supplied so be prepared to purchase everything you need. The views and the pool were great and the house was very clean. Nice quiet location. We had a chef arranged for us one evening but found it quite expensive. Many homes we have stayed at included a binder with take out menus, directions to nearby attractions, etc. It would have been nice to have something like that as well.

Our stay from the time of check in to check out was flawless. We opted for a maid to come cook all our meals for us and do our grocery shopping. It was so worth it! The on-site management was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to messages. We didn't have any issues at all. We would definitely recommend renting a car. They have a $5 to/from town, but that price is per person and definitely adds up VERY quickly.
Malibu is a 5-star property with a 5-star management staff. Angela, Lenin, Alberto and their team were accommodating and made us feel at home the entire week we spent with them at Malibu. The pool area was cleaned every morning and Angela was accessible via email for our every need. Malibu is perfectly located in the hills outside of San Juan Del Sur, an easy drive into town or to the Pali for groceries. We enjoyed being out of the town of SJDS since it is much quieter and peaceful in Pacific Marlin. You are just a short walk from the Christ of Mercy statue that looks over the bay of SJDS.
The Wifi seemed faster than at home in Minneapolis, so we were able to check emails and work when needed. The pool was amazing to come home to after spending our days at one of the many beaches in the area. One of our favorite days was taking the boat tour with Alberto which allowed us to see all of the different beaches on the Northern Coast which we spent exploring the following day by car. I would recommend getting a car since there are so many beaches that you will want to discover in the area if that is what you are coming to SJDS to do.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect. The AC was strong and kept the space cool whenever necessary. The TV has all of the channels if you want to catch soccer games in the morning or catch up on your shows at night.
It was hard to leave when the week was up, but we will definitely be back since there is so much to see and do in this area.
If you are thinking about booking this property, just do it. You will not be disappointed.

Check in is at 2 pm. We kindly ask that you arrive no later than 11 pm or there will be a charge of $100.

If you choose to pay with a credit card, VRBO charges a 2.5% fee of the total amount. We will deduct the total credit card charge fee from your security deposit.
