Fed up with large, noisy, impersonal condo developments? Don't really need a big villa, but want somewhere special / different? At Villa Tranquilla, we have transformed a huge villa into 4 great apartments. We live in the largest (naturally) with our super-friendly dog Charlie and the 3 others are available for holiday rentals. This unit (Palm Terrace) has 2 bedroom suites; living/dining room; fitted kitchen and 2 decent terraces with gardens surrounding the villa. Gas BBQ; ceiling fans in all rooms as well as aircon/heaters in both bedrooms (extra charge if required). The pool is only used by the 3 holiday apartments and can be heated (Oct - Apr) for an extra charge.

The 2 other apartments are the Pool Apt (spacious 1 bed unit) and the Fountain Apt (2 bed 2 shower with large 'L' shaped terrace looking over the pool.

We are located just a 6 minute drive from Estepona Port, or 10 minutes to the beautiful old town. There is nothing flashy or ostentacious here, unlike some of our more well-known neighbours Puerto Banus, Sotogrande or Marbella. Shops are 'normal' not designer everything and restaurants are very affordable. Most shops are Spanish-owned and cater for the towns inhabitants, not tourists (sorry). If you are seeking a relatively authentic Spanish seaside town to have a wander or relax in, this is it.

If you are the roaming type, then within an hour or so, you can drive to Marbella; Gibraltar; Malaga; Ronda and the Pueblo Blanco (white villages) of Casares; Ojen; Istan and Guadiero.

Another hour (mas o menos) and you'll hit Cadiz; Seville; Jerez; Cordoba; Antequera and of course Granada.

We provide a complimentary concierge service. We can recommend places to eat at; places to visit and ways to get there, book taxi's and restaurant tables etc.

If it sounds a little different to the usual condo, that is because IT IS !!!

We left the U.K. on my 48th birthday looking for a less pressurised, very different life-style.

We didn't want the 'typical' Brits holiday resorts like Benidorm; Fuengirola; Marbella plumping instead for a less well-known Spanish seaside town with a fishing port.

We absolutely love Estepona, especially the old town which is beautiful to stroll around and comparatively safe. A cup of coffee for just over a euro and you really can't ask for more.

Come & stay and we can give you some great tips on where to eat & visit.

We definitely recommend a stay with Neville and Lynne. We have traveled over 1/2 the world including South and Central America and have NEVER had better accommodations and treatment from the owners of the apartment.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are a big and furnished as nice as you could ask. The exterior of the home is landscaped beautifully and we would sit outside on a bench overlooking the Sea and read by the hour. Both the Northern Coast of Africa and Gibraltar may the seen from the apartment.

We had a car problem at the end of the trip and Neville introduced us to a "body shop" who fixed the damage and ended up returning the rent a car of us. He even had a drive take us to Malaga to the airport on our day of departure.

The location of the villa is in a calm & peaceful development, but the joy is that it is only a short drive from so much. Besides all of the places mentioned above, a must visit is Estepona old town. There are miles of sandy beaches and many chirringuitos dotted along the shore to stop off for a coffee / meal / drink. Easy drive to some nearby white villages such as Casares; Istan; Gaucin as well as famous cities like Seville; Granada; Malaga (it is not just an airport); Cordoba & Ronda. Visit Gibraltar or even Tangiers in Morocco.

Rates quoted are based on 2 bedrooms being used. If you'd like to rent it as a super 1 bedroom unit, we will quote you a special reduced price.
End of stay clean = 35e must be paid.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS : Aircon in both bedrooms = 60e/week. Heating of the swimming pool = 70e/week. Extra (5th) bed = 85e/week incl. bedlinen & towels.
