I have owned this house since 1987 and it has been a great home to me and my family. The location could not be better between Park Avenue and Baldwin Park. Winter Park 32789 has a great feeling unlike any other area in Orlando.
Margie Bridges purchased this house in 1987
Location, charm and the brick street with a median on the street.
This charming 1950's home with it's large, gracious mature oak trees spreading over the yard, sheltering you from the worries of the world, make you think back to a slower, quieter time. It is restful and peaceful here, in one of Winter Park's nicest neighborhoods, and yet it is minutes from downtown Winter Park and Downtown Orlando. Its original hardwood floors, the beautifully updated kitchen and bath offer the best of both worlds.... the past and the present! The office also has additional sleeping for a guest. The two cruiser style bikes let you literally cruise around town and enjoy the parks, the restaurants, the museums, the College and the theater. It is all here. The home offers fully appointed bedding, kitchen, and WiFi, TV and stereo. The additional "morning room" at the front of the house is the perfect setting for coffee in the morning or wine at nite.
Nice yard and patio, the house was nicely decorated and professionally upgraded with beautiful wood floors. It had all we needed for our stay and we would rent again! It was convenient to everything in a beautiful neighborhood.
Winter Park is an oasis from a bygone era...the serenity of tree lined and shaded cobblestone streets make it a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.
This was a perfect place for my husband to recooperate after major surgery...the neighborhood has perfect walking paths and two blocks away is one of the areas many lakes!
The house has everything you need for your stay and the back yard is a cool retreat.
We would recommend whole heartily this home for your "home away from home"!
We stayed in this home for one week, and were pleasantly surprised to find that this house turned out to be very bright and light filled (the pictures did not do it justice). The home is located in a quiet, peaceful, lovely neighborhood on a tree-lined brick paved street convenient to downtown Winter Park. It was ideal for 2 people, and we were very comfortable in this house. The house is modern, clean, hardwood floors throughout, and tastefully decorated. The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed, HD television, and large closet. The bathroom is modern and nicely updated. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are comfortable, and the living room has a second HD TV.
The air conditioning, cable TV, wireless internet, and all the appliances (microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, icemaker, etc.) worked great. There were plenty of supplies (paper towels, dishwasher, laundry soap, etc.), sheets/towels, closet space, and empty kitchen cabinets to store some items. The spacious private backyard has a nice patio area with a grill.
The property manager (Margie) was friendly and very helpful. It was a great rental! We highly recommend the home and will rent here again.
We came out to Winter Park for a long weekend and had an amazing stay at this little cottage. It's a perfect setup for a couple with one small child. Our daughter loved the huge backyard and spent hours out there looking for lizards and frogs. We even saw an owl in the tree out front on the first night. The outdoor patio in the backyard is perfect for warm nights and we enjoyed the BBQ too. Highly recommended!
We stayed for the month of January and were extremely pleased with this house. The location is perfect...on a quiet tree-lined brick street only a few miles from Park Avenue. There are two nice bicycles provided with the house and you can explore old Winter Park as well as going further distances on the nearby Cady Way and Seminole bike trails. The house is very well arranged with a large bedroom (very comfortable king bed), nice living room and dining room and spacious kitchen. Plenty of closet space and sheets/towels. Also, an office with desk and printer, good Wifi reception. The back yard is large and a nice terrace and brand new barbecue grill. I would highly recommend this house and would definitely choose it again. The property manager is very attentive to all your needs ....great rental!
This house is ideal for two people. It is situated on a sweet residential street that is in the center of an area of cobblestone streets. Many things are biking distance. The bikes provided are rideable, but not high end. There are multiple lakes within town. The historic downtown is very nice. The house is clean and modern. It has a nice circular floor plan. The king bed is comfortable. The second bedroom is more of an office, but could be used for an additional guest. We had a little trouble with keeping the ice maker functioning, but got by with enough ice for our use. We ran low on a few supplies such as paper towels and dishwasher soap, but the manager was good about dropping off things as we noticed they were missing. The area was safe and in an upscale section of town. It is a place we would consider renting again.
This charming 2/1 home is nestled right in the heart of Winter Park's desirable residential neighborhoods. Brick streets with sidewalks and mature canopy oak trees make this area walkable and desirable for visitor and residents alike. It is located within walking distance of downtown Historic Winter Park's Park Ave and walk to the popular East End Market ( as seen on HGTV) for organics and local produce. This home is located just minutes from multiple parks for walking, jogging and art festivals, and more.
