The time of our life!
Visiting Ireland was a dream come true for our family! This cottage was in the heart of Ireland. The cottage was beautiful everything we needed was on hand! Brian was great to work with, very friendly and we loved visiting with him and hearing about his journey to get this place restored. This is the perfect getaway. Can't wait to return
Beautiful home from home. Amazing place
This holiday home has everything you need and the most amazing hosts. Greeted by Brian and his lovely wife. We had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and huge. The kitchen is more than equipt with everything you need. The bedrooms are spaceous and the most comfty beds i have slept in. The games room is a great feature and we played loads of pool.
I would recommend this to anyone going to Ireland and will be doing so to all my friends/family.
Beautiful property, all comforts provided by very friendly, welcoming hosts
We had a wonderful stay at this property in Kildare. Brian and Deirdre were both very friendly and welcoming. They made sure we understood how all the utilities in the house operated and that we had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with new appliances, stocked with coffee and tea, and they even provided fresh milk and biscuits for the children. We have two small children, so the large, enclosed yard with pedal cars and a tire swing was a lovely place to end our days of sight-seeing. The kids also enjoyed rolling the balls on the pool table in the game room and playing the board games provided in the cupboard.
The location was convenient to Dublin, only a 30 minute ride to Phoenix Park, and also under an hour for a day trip to the Wicklow mountains. The village of Clane, with a large grocery store and a several options for pubs or carry-out dinner options, was less than a 10-minute drive from the house. The entire house is freshly renovated, and the bedding and towels were new and soft. Everything was spotlessly clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and will recommend it to any family or friends who are traveling to the Dublin area. This was the first of three houses where we stayed during a 10-day trip to Ireland, and no other property we visited lived up to this one! We wished we had more than 3 days here. Thank you for a wonderful welcome to Ireland, Brian and Deirdre!
Lovely house, warm welcome and great location
We were met by Brian and his wife who were on hand if we needed anything but we had everything we needed with clear instructions to find things. The house is immaculate and the beds extremely comfortable with plenty of clean towels, crockery, glasses etc provided which we made good use of when the family came over. The location is lovely only a short drive into the village with a good pub nearby which served great food and very reasonable prices.
We would recommend this house and am sure we will be back again.
Excellent holiday location in easy reach of Dublin
We had a great family holiday here in Kildare. The cottage is spacious, well appointed and very comfortable for six people to live in. The living space is well laid out with good kitchen and dining facilities and the games room was enjoyed by all of us. Everything was very clean and well looked after and there were plenty of towels, toilet rolls, bin bags etc provided for our stay. The Wi-Fi access and TV reception were excellent (this has not been the case in many holiday homes we have rented) and the garden outside the cottage has gates which can be closed for families with small children to prevent unwanted escape. The surrounding countryside is very pretty, there are plenty of places to visit close by and the location offered us easy access to Dublin to visit our relatives. Our host Brian went out of his way to ensure that we had all the information we needed before and during our stay. We look forward to coming back here in future!
Thank you Eileen and family, I am delighted you enjoyed your stay here. We set out to ensure people have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable stay. your very welcome to come back.
An idyllic rural home away from home.
Brian and Deirdre have painstakingly renovated their beautiful annex into a delightful, roomy holiday cottage. Despite our many delays and very late arrival Brian was completely relaxed and when we finally made it the cupboards were full of tea and biscuits to revive us.
There wasn’t a thing they hadn’t thought of to make our stay comfortable including fantastically comfortable beds, luxury sheets and amazing hot and powerful showers.
Approaching up a long drive and attached to a private walled garden it is a secluded haven. Kids toys and a swing are provided in the garden not to mention friendly cows checking us out through the kitchen window!
We can’t wait to return!!
