Cross the Vilano Bridge to Surfside Retreat and your wonderful, stress free vacation begins. In fact, the ocean is your front yard. The panoramic view from the living area is like none other. You can view the ocean from two of the three bedrooms in this unit. The sunrise from the ocean side deck while you enjoy your coffee, tea or hot chocolate is absolutely beautiful (just make sure you arise one morning during your vacation to view). Bring your camera to capture the beautiful Florida sunrise and sunset. You are a stones throw from the ocean. This condo is directly on the beach.
The living area has a sofa, loveseat, recliner, wicker slumber chair and leg rest, audio system and 40" LCD TV. Dinning room has a glass top table w/6 chairs. Kitchen is large enough for four chefs to prepare a stupendous meal without getting in each other's way (plenty of counter top space). Kitchen has a bar sink w/wine rack. Eat at the counter with four bar stools, then wander back to the deck to take in the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Master suite has queen bed, dresser/mirror, two chests, 2 closets, DVD player, 32" LCD TV. Master bath is a full bath with dual lavatories. Bedroom #2 has twin beds, dresser/mirror, nightstand, walk in closet, adjoining full bathroom that also adjoins the hallway. Bedroom #3 has an extremely comfortable queen futon, chest/mirror and closet. All three bedrooms are carpeted, the remaining floors have tile w/area rugs. There is a phone for local calling and surrounding areas. Non-smoking.
Vilano Beach Town Center has a Publix Grocery with Pharmacy and at least four restaurants....Beaches on Vilano is a waterfront restaurant with an island flair. The Vilano Beach Town Center is less than a mile from the condo – well within walking distance. There are several other hot local spots to frequent within the town center all while remaining close to the condo. Three miles north of the condo are three other restaurants....The Reef (oceanfront), Cap's on the Water and Aunt Kate's (both on the Intracoastal with outside decks and great for sunsets). The Kingfish Grill is across the bridge and don't forget our other 300 restaurants in the St. Augustine area that you will have to try or just stay home and grill out on your own outside deck. St. Augustine has many places to visit - come stay with us and see the many sites.
I am a native Floridian and have lived in St Augustine since 1995. This condo was my primary residence until 2011 when my husband and I moved further inland.

We originally purchased this property for a family retreat away from our businesses in Jacksonville, yet close enough to keep in touch if needed.
Being directly on the beach gives you the most breathtaking views of the ocean and incredible sunrises. The peaceful atmosphere allows you to enjoy the ocean and quiet walks on the beach.
Above our expectations! My wife and I have stayed at many different places and the expectations rarely get met. This time they were exceeded. I would stay here again with zero reservation. Thanks Sally!
Excellent weather all week and we loved sitting on the deck watching the waves. No problems with any of the accommodations... just not enough time in the day to do everything in St. Augustine. We look forward to our annual visit and can't wait until next summer! Thanks Sally.
We enjoyed the surfside retreat very much. When we arrived, everything was extremely clean and looked great. The views were breathtaking. The kitchen was well equipped for making all of our meals with nice, new appliances. The beach here was beautiful and porch was an awesome place to sit and relax in the seabreeze in the evening. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was that we had to purchase all of our drinking water due to the sulfur content in the water, which we were unaware of. There is a public beach park close by that had a lot of use and many fisherman came to use the beach area. Other than that, wonderful place and convenient to Publix, st Augustine and not far from Jacksonville!
We rented the top floor of the house. The first day the end of a nor'easter gave us some incredible waves and pictures. The house was absolutely beautiful and has a million dollar view. We were greeted by Sally when we got there and she was absolutely wonderful. Tea in the mornings and wine in the evenings on the beautiful deck is almost impossible to beat. We had a great time and although we only live a few hours away the deposit check was already at my house before we even got home. We try to go away whenever we can and have seen the good the bad and the ugly with many places and without a doubt this was on the top list of places I will go back to. I spent a week at this property unit C. I had a amazing time with the sand and ocean a few yards from the upper deck. The sunrises and moon rises are remarkable. I will return in the future and cannot wait till that day comes. The owner goes to extreme measures to make sure her property is clean and well decorated with all the necessities to be self sufficient. I have been in many condos ocean front in the last 30 years and I must say this property is in the top 3 I have ever stayed in. I thank you for sharing the little peace of heaven on earth. THANKS :-)
We just spent a fantastic month at the ocean. Everything about the stay was perfect for us. This is our first time doing a rental and it couldn't have been better. Sally was responsive if we needed anything, which we really didn't, but I knew she was there just in case. The condo is directly on the beachfront and we were in the upper unit which had it's own deck that had a closed gate to keep the doggies in. Our doggies loved it too becuase the beach is dog friendly so the kids could take them out anytime. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed in it to cook. Appliances all seemed new. The condo was very nice all around with plenty of sitting areas and the deck was large with plenty of seating and 2 tables. We look forward to coming back next year. I can't think of a thing that I could have asked for, it was really a perfect stay for us! .... Publix just 4 min. away also as well as some local restaurants.
