Love the outdoors and living off the land in Ely is a future dream.
Marcel Gajownik purchased this cabin in 2015
Would you believe me if I told you this property found us? A perfect compromise between me and hubby....upscale inside while remote outside.
Part of property is considered Federal Forest..a quiet place to wander or truly explore. Enjoy NW sunset views from main floor balcony or just sit on a boulder to watch the sun setting.
While we are paddlers more than boaters, both are allowed on White Iron Lake which connects with Farm Lake, South Farm Lake, and Garden Lake. An easy paddle to Kawishiwi River is the perfect destination with ability to canoe direct into the BWCA...a dream come true.
While only 7 miles into Ely, our cabin feels like a million miles from civilization.
Our family of five had a great stay at this beautiful cabin on White Iron Lake. The wood stove kept us toasty warm while reading and watching movies, the kitchen was perfect for cooking all our meals, and the location was perfect for access to cross country skiing, hiking, and Downtown Ely.
owners wer fast to help an answered any question!! home was clean an cozy
This is a perfect place for a family of 4-6, plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Great location on lake, beautiful scenery as well. One of the things I loved the most was the deck; my family has come to Ely over MEA the last 3 years, what I love is how remote it is, and the deck allowed everyone to enjoy that remoteness, especially when the sun went down. Bundling up, enjoying the cool air, and watching the stars!
Again, great lodging experience, kitchen has everything, nice coal grill and plenty of space for groceries.
Can't wait to come back!
Our family enjoyed a three night getaway at the end of August to this wonderful home. The secluded setting is spectacular and there are no other cabins in view, so it provides a quiet, restful, and totally private Up North destination. The home was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, with comfortable, modern amenities. It's open main floor layout and loft area worked well for our family of three couples and two children to enjoy time together, without feeling crowded. The attention to detail is evident when you walk in the front door and then are hit by the outstanding view as you look through the whole house to the full wall of windows overlooking the lake below. You feel like you're in a treehouse. We enjoyed great fishing and caught several Northern pike and Smallmouth bass during our stay. The lake has some great structure along the shorelines and islands and is not overpopulated by cabins, so boat traffic was minimal and fish were abundant. A canoe and kayaks are available, but if you are motoring in your own boat, be cautious of the large boulders just off the dock. We enjoyed evening campfires under the stars and by the end of August, the bugs were minimal, which made it even better! We'd love to visit again!
Great stay, everything as advertised. Beautiful setting and easy access to Ely.
We had a great stay! Went into town to play golf, eat one night which was only a quick drive in. The house had canoes and a great view!
Located just 10 minutes from downtown Ely. Tucked away inside the Federal Forest on southern end of White Iron Lake. Cabin situated on 5 heavily wooded acres for exploring and solitude. Private view of White Iron with no signs of the "real world". 40 ft. dock to fish from or enjoy a sunset over the lake.
