Amazing cottage, perfect for a weekend getaway!!!
We arrived to the cottage around 8pm on a Friday. It was dark out as the cabin is down a few gravel roads, no street lights but we had no issues getting there and grabbing the keys from the lockbox. We opened the door and were extremely impressed with how updated and clean the whole cottage was. All three bedrooms were spacious and all the beds neatly made.Bathrooms spotless and well equipped with towels. The kitchen was outfitted with all of a coffee maker dishwasher, newer stove/oven and all the items we needed to cook our meals (utensils, cookware, plates, glasses, etc) for the weekend. The owners also left us a bottle of wine and some dog treats which was a thoughtful touch. The back porch area, basement and bottom deck where the hot tub is located were also all very clean and well lit. Hot tub also very clean. The living room is outfitted with a nice wooden stove, TV, DVD player, and Satellite TV. We ended up watching a few movies each night. Overall this place is an amazing find and perfect for a weekend getaway out of the city to hit up some cozy towns and within close proximity to numerous wineries. It was just myself, my fiancee and our dog but this place could definitely comfortably fit 6. Some places I have seen tend to stretch the truth on that "sleeps" number but this is place accurately states how many you can fit and truly be comfortable. Overall, you can tell the owners prioritize delivering a clean, reasonably priced quality lodging which sets up for a great experience and the desire for new comers to want to repeat. WOULD RECCOMEND!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to say all those nice things about Beavers Hill Cottage! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for taking care of the cottage and being so clean. You are welcome back anytime!

Nice Property Needs Love
It was very clean and pretty but needs some attention to detail. Kitchen towels, bath soap, remote controls and TVs not 100%. No extra towels. Not for bath or hottub. Simple fixes.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We would like to address some of the issues you mentioned in your review for future guests.
We do provide a new sponge and paper towels for kitchen use. We do not provide toothpaste, shampoo or shower soap because we believe this is a personal preference and we ask that guests bring their own toiletries. We do however provide hand soap in every bathroom and dish soap and laundry detergent. We have never had any issues with the TV remote controls and we provide instructions for their use. We do have Dish Network which from time to time has issues with HD signal and reloading. Unfortunately this is just how satellite service works in our area. We provide 6 bath towels and 6 washcloths for every stay. Each bathroom also has makeup removal washcloths and a hand towel. A washer and dryer are available for guests to use as well. We do recommend in our check-in email that people bring their own larger towels for the hot tub, but guests are welcome to use our towels as well. We do love our cottage and do the best to make every guest happy.

Perfect fall getaway!!
We could not have been happier with our stay! The cottage is adorable and in a very private, quiet place. The steep driveway was a bit intimidating but easily navigated with AWD. Location wise we were perfectly situated close by to many VA wineries which made for an incredible and convenient day tripping adventure to add to our fabulous girls weekend. The hosts were amazing, easily reached by email, happy to provide recommendations and they had the house perfectly appointed. Comfy beds, plenty of towels, everything you need in the kitchen including the most adorable placemat for the dog dishes! We were welcomed with treats for the fur kids, a bottle of wine and instructions for everything at the house
We hated to have to leave. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for relaxation and serene country side.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad you found the cottage comfortable and relaxing. Please come back and stay, we would love to have you!

Charming and Just Right for a Weekend Getaway
We literally hung out around the cottage (e.g., grilling, cooking, enjoying each others company) and hot tub the entire weekend. It was a nice getaway for a small group of friends and a great way to disconnect. The distance from DC was awesome too! I would highly recommend this property. Thanks, Rachelle & Don!
