|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Escape to the Laurel Mountains to enjoy one of your favorite four seasons. The Mill Run Manor is surrounded by forest, natural streams and wild life. You can hike a 1/4 of a mile from the manor to a beautiful waterfall (Indian Creek Stream) where one can fish, kayak or just enjoy the breathtaking view of one of the best kept secrets in the area.
The Mill Run Manor is right in the middle of all of the activities in the area. It is minutes away from Ohiopyle and Seven Springs mountain Resort.
The place was perfect for what we needed. Great location (we went rafting in Ohiopyle, 15 minutes down the road) and fit all 11 of us fairly easily (we used 1 air mattress).
The trail to the river was a little overgrown in spots, but if you follow the orange markers you'll get there easily.
The campfire area is a perfect spot to spend the evening and unwind, and the gas grill worked as expected.
10 out of 10, would stay again!
The house was large, clean, and well equipped. The rec room in the basement was a favorite, especially the jukebox. The trail to the waterfall was well marked with orange ribbons and paint, but because of the rain during our stay the trail was very treacherous. The central location was perfect since some of the things we did included rafting at Laurel Highlands, zip lining at Seven Springs, visiting Wright's Fallingwater, and lots of hiking. I would definitely recommend staying at the Mill Run Manor.
This is our second year staying here and it was fantastic yet again.
The house is always clean and kept up to date. With the house being close to Ohiopyle and also the river a few miles down the path behind the house there is plenty to do. But in case of bad weather there is fast internet, nice tvs, jukebox and more to keep you busy in the house.
One of the most important things I look for is how the home owner is - Robert is extremely kind and helpful, as well as being easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend staying at Roberts Mill Run Manor.
We will definitely be back next year!
Thoroughly enjoyed stay! House was beautiful. Loved that sheets and towels were included. Great location.
improvements that would be nice: additional cookware and eating utensils (forks)
We had a group of 6 adults that went whitewater rafting over in Ohiopyle. The house was only 10 miles from our check-in location for whitewater rafting. The is slightly smaller than what the pictures show, but the finished basement has a lot of open room. When we were at the house, we spent most of our time there. We still felt comfortable in the house with the 6 of us, but the max people for comfort would be about 10 adults. The house had 3 beds and 3 pull out couches for sleeping. The grill had a full propane tank which worked out great since we cooked out one night and there were logs there to build a fire though we did not utilize them. There is a path to a pretty cool looking waterfall, but it was definitely an adventure to get to it. I do recommend checking it out, but just be prepared for some mud, climbing over some fallen trees and a long trek. Overall, the house was fantastic and I would stay there again if we plan another trip.
We used this home as the meeting place for a mini family reunion over thanksgiving weekend. The home was lovely, welcoming and comfortable. It was well stocked with kitchen basics and cleaning supplies. The location was central for hiking, sight seeing etc. The wifi was super speedy, And we loved the view of cows!
