Enjoy the solitude and beauty of some of Wyoming's most pristine landscapes, year-round. Paint Rock Ranch is surrounded by nature's beauty throughout the Big Horn Mountain area. Enjoy horseback riding, fly fishing, hiking or just relax and take in the scenery. Enjoy the grandeur of the Main House or the family cabin. Both are nestled along Paint Rock Creek.
It is truly....."HEAVEN IN THE WEST"
Its truly Heaven in the West. The Paint Rock Creek rolls gently by the Main House while the Red Bluff and Big Horn Mountains sit majectically in the view. The wildlife are abundant. It brings me such peace just sitting on the deck or showing friends and guests the abundant beauty of the area.
The amazing beauty, world class rock climbing in the area, fly fishing, outdoor enthusiasts wonderland.
I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway here for Valentine's Day. This exceeded all expectations! Home is gorgeous, comfortable and more than we could have asked for. Great price and the communications leading up to our visit with the property manager made everything simple for a perfect vacation. We will be coming back!!
Based on be pictures on their website, I knew we were in for a treat but it was so much more than I ever imagined! We had an absolutely amazing time! We loved being able to come back to the cabin at night after playing in the snow all day and be able to warm up by the fire and/or in the sauna shower! It was also nice to have a nice fire going and watch the football games on a lazy Sunday! The kitchen is large and an absolute joy to cook in! They have a full laundry room so we were able to keep up on our laundry! It was just like being at home except better! The view is breathtaking and watching the gorgeous sunrise as it basks the valley in a brilliant orange light while sipping hot coffee was very relaxing! As well as sitting on the seat swing down by the creek watching the sunset behind the valley and watching as the stars came out in the sky. I would recommend this place again and again! Absolutely no negatives and way more positives than I can list!
The drive is an exhausting 35 minutes from Ten Sleep, the nearest town, however, once you get there you will find the drive well worth it and you don't really need to leave until it's time to go home. The property is beautiful, the wide rocky creek gives out the most soothing constant sound. There were 4 of us with 2 being young girls 6 and 5. Our girls loved seeing all the cattle, the turkeys, and the birds. The property has a nice swing the girls really enjoyed and also loved the Teepee. We went on many hikes and of course we enjoyed them all. We did not go fishing, but that too is something that could very much be enjoyed on the property. The home is nicely furnished, well stocked kitchen, very clean, and all extremely comfortable.
I do not recommend for small children as the upstairs deck is pretty much open. Our girls were old enough to know not to get close to the edge.
Oh and by the way, as a retired travel agent, I found the property to be underpriced. :)
Make sure you do all your shopping before you go.
