Spacious & quiet creek-side retreat in the beautiful Catskills, perfect for hiking, fishing & relaxing to get away from it all! Nearby Hunter/Bellayre Mountains, a four season escape. This quiet retreat is equipped with a chef's kitchen, perfect for cooking a romantic dinner. Enjoy the fireplace on a cool evening with a glass of wine by the barbecue or one of two fire pits. In close proximity to Woodstock and Phoenicia for hiking, tubing, with some of the state's best trout fishing right outside in the Esopus Creek.
We stayed here with another couple, and this house is really well set up for two couples as each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The house itself is lovely, it's very well stocked (they left us smores stuff!) and is really cute. The location is also really great, it's magically 30 minutes or less away from pretty much anything you'd want to do in the area. The owner is also very easy to communicate with.
We'd stay here again for sure. Thanks!
My family of 4 stayed here over the July 4th weekend and had a wonderful time! The recently renovated cottage was decorated beautifully and surprisingly spacious. The extra living room was comfy, with games and a large TV. We made a fire in the fireplace one night and another in the one of the two fire pits in the backyard another night. The owner provided firewood and materials for s'mores! The kitchen was lovely, open to the rest of the house. Even on a hot day, the house did not get too hot, and we cooled down with two window units and open windows created good air flow in the main part of the house. The beds had super comfortable mattresses and linens. The yard was very private and we had fun playing ball in the back. In the front, we took the light Adirondack chairs just across the road to sit on the hill overlooking the stream and mountain view. We were in heaven, having our coffee each morning in nature, while the kids watched tv within view through the main window. Lisa was easy to communicate with, from initial inquiry to follow-up after our stay. Just a half mile walk to the Emerson where the rest of our family was staying, so we could use their pool, and shopped at the great gift store and cafe there. Kaleidoscope show for the kids was fun. Frog pond next to the shops was also fun. Hikes and creek walks. Trips to Phoenecia and Woodstock - ideal location in between. Sweet Sues, Brios/Cantina, Phoenecia Diner - all musts. I will come here every summer if I can!
We really loved our stay at this house. It was just the right amount of glam mixed with rustic and comfortable. Loved the master bath, so beautiful and fun! The kitchen was great, very well stocked. So nice to have everything you need even sharp knives, made for pleasant cooking.
Love love love the fire pit and patio, so enjoyable to sit outside and enjoy the night air next to a roaring fire.
We walked down the road to the lovely shops too, so it was great to feel away from everything, but close enough to walk to get an ice cream or shop.
Restaurant recommendations were great too, loved the Phoenicia Diner.
We will definitely be back to stay here. Everything was perfect.
The moment we walked in, tired because we left NYC around 8pm, we were blown away. The decor is lovely, the cleanliness is pristine, and the amenities abundant. The home is bright and airy with 2 very comfortable bedrooms with plenty of storage space, a gorgeous master bath + a second full bath + another 1/2 bath with laundry. The kitchen is huge with everything you need to make great meals. The living area is comfy cozy. And it was so quiet and serene. I highly, highly recommend this place. It doesn't hurt that Lisa (the owner) was always prompt and helpful and kind.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful place!!
