About Chris and Joyce Williams

Once upon a time an idea was born. Chris was gung-hoe, Joyce was forlorn. They bought some property that needed a lot of work. Was it really a good idea, or a brain-fart with a quirk. After Joyce's meltdown subsided, they immediately forged ahead, once mere homeowners

now Landlords were bread. First was the mortgage for land and 3 log homes. All in need of repair, but they had good bones. To swing the loan, they had to move quick. The "small house" was first, they made it look slick. The "medium house" was next, a bigger project for them. It took a little longer, but it soon became a gem. With the first two done, after a lot of sweat and work, they found two renters and hoped neither were a jerk. While fine-tuning their skills, with electrical and plumbing, doing plastering and tiling floors. They had refusal idea what was coming cause the big house was next! Lowes was a daily stop, every weekend at "the property"

work was needed bottom to top. When the projects began, a lot of help was needed. From family and friends, their requests were heeded. As usual with old homes, when each task began

five more issues would pop up. And nothing went as planned their one-year project

slowly became two. No time to look back, too much to do. Of course there were times

when they needed a break. No vacations in sight, but parties they could make. "The property" became popular for small and big bashes. With guests using a bathroom with no blinds or sashes. No party-goer ever complained. It was fun to see the progress.

We were amazed at your work, we can finally confess with set-back after set-back, the end was nowhere near. Their nerves were getting fried, that was pretty clear, but Joyce and Chris forged ahead. Even got a write-up in the paper, first landlords, then celebrities.

Chris and Joyce Williams purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Chris and Joyce Williams chose Tennessee

They would pull off this caper, after two years became three, one room at a time was completed.

They were close to being finished, and knew they weren't defeated! When moving day arrived

Friends and family did too, Eldorado Court was emptied. There was unpacking to do within a few weeks of moving in. The final boxes were emptied and thrown and with some finishing touches, the "big house" became "their home."

What makes this cabin unique

We have had several family weddings, reunions and gatherings on our property. We are now extending this to strangers, who will soon be friends. The place is small enough for privacy, yet big enough for families to gather and tell great stories.

An authentic log cabin with modern amenities and water frontage was a fabulous place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four really enjoyed staying in this beautiful log cabin on our trip to visit the in-laws. The house is updated and spotless with a beautiful kitchen, living room, two bedrooms (both on the second floor), and one and a half bathrooms. There is a large porch on the front of the house and an even larger porch that runs the length of the house on the back. The front of the cabin overlooks an expansive yard with a large main log house where the property owners live and a smaller log cabin where a family member resides. The back porch of the cabin is the perfect place to sip one's favorite drink and enjoy the views of nature. The home owners have added a back deck, picnic tables, and canoe. Chris and Joyce are fabulous and friendly homeowners. They are easily accessible but also provide the renter privacy and solitude. The place is approximately 40 minutes from Nashville and the airport so an easy commute. Gallatin has everything you need and Hendersonville is a larger city just a few miles down the road with even more stores and restaurants. Yes, we will be back!

Fantastic Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. The cabin was picture perfect. Everything was clean, warm and cozy. We loved the fireplace in the kitchen. We felt out of the hustle and bustle but really we were just 3 minutes from everything you would ever need. Our first night was a short trip to Nashville to see the lights and then back to the cabin. With us meeting friends from the other side of the country, it was a great central location. Joyce and Chris were fantastic. They hooked us up with some information on horseback riding and had it all ready when we got there. We will be back for sure. Thanks again for helping us get our new year off to a great start. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful Cabin, Excellent Hospitality

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this lovely cabin last May. While we were there my daughter and son-in-law decided to marry and the wedding was actually held at the cabin! We couldn't have asked for a better location. The Williams' hospitality went above and beyond every expectation! I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a beautiful, quiet retreat just outside of Nashville. Our family is sure to be back.

We had our wedding her on Halloween!! Not only is the cabin absolutely beautiful, Mr. & Mrs. Williams are wonderful!! They were very accommodating, helpful, and sweet. It's a beautiful view of the lake and you can sit in the back porch and drink your coffee, never hearing anything but the animals in the woods. I am definitely going to be coming back to stay. I have already recommended the cabin to my friends..

Quiet, Comfortable and still close to Downtown!

  • 5 of 5

3 of us stayed here for 5 days while we were in Nashville. We loved the place and it was just as the description stated. We enjoyed the view of the Lake and the area around the house was beautiful. The owners were very nice and helpful. It was nice to get away from all the noise downtown but it was fun to travel downtown for only a 38 dollar Uber ride. We would stay here again when traveling to Nashville.

EXACTLY what we wanted!!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was perfect! Cozy, welcoming, and just beautiful! We held a small wedding on the property and the owners went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. Our planning party was thankful for the easy access and proximity of shopping, our guests all commented on the beauty of the property and the house, and our bride and groom enjoyed the privacy. This is truly the perfect getaway and we recommend them 100%! Thank you Joyce and Chris for offering the cabin and for all the extras you so thoughtfully shared!!!
