Retired but working harder than ever I have created a "Paradise on the river". It has taken me almost 10 years to design and build this amazing retreat along the Embudo river. I bought the property as a working organic fruit and Lavender farm. The trees and lavender still adorn the property and are enjoyed by guests when they stay here.
Beautiful rock work creates walls along the pathways that connect the outdoor 18' tall natural rock fireplace, Gazebo, and outdoor kitchen/grill area along the river. My hands touched almost every building material and all designs came from my very busy brain.
My addiction is designing outdoor spaces and building but I love to cook and create healthy organic meals for myself, family and friends. And for those guests who want to spoil themselves I do offer private chef services during your stay.

It is a funny story why I bought here but mainly it was because my sister has lived her for almost 30 years. My 'get-a-way' vacations from my high stress business always brought me here to visit her. My dream was to own a property and retire here. And that is what I have done. I still live on the property in another house further along the river. The total property is almost 30 acres.
Of course the riverfront location captured my heart immediately. I was coming from waterfront property in Florida so 'water' was a given. But when I saw the red rock that bleeds brightly from across the river I was sold. It is the only place in this part of New Mexico where yous see the red rock. Very inspiring and from what I have heard very spiritual.
Located on the Embudo river 20 miles south of Taos and 45 miles north of Santa Fe in the heart of endless outdoor activities.
